I'd love to do this Mod, but NJ area prices are less than ideal
I've seen that one before. They first listed it for $2500 then reduced the price a couple weeks later. These junk yards just make up prices, they will cut the price down the longer it sits. I've seen many cases were junk yards have it priced more than a new part from the dealership. Depending on how bad the wreck is they are easily getting these cars at auction for less than $5k. I've looked up the vin number for some of these cars and found out they paid only $3200 with auction fees for the car, then they just sell a handfull of major parts and easily make their money back.
I managed to get mine so cheap because it was off a car they didn't break down yet and sort of an on the spot price.
Same thing when I bought my lux seats, I paid $700 for the front and rear lux seats, plus freight shipping. If you search ebay many junkyards are trying to sell one seat for $400-500, so that was a great deal. The seats were still in the car. Some junkyards are ready to sell and others will sit on it with their high prices.
So far I sold my original front seats and one rear headrest for $550, still have the rest of the rears for sale.
I am guessing that's is without the 12.3 display, that price is hot but then again the dealer wants $10000 plus for it brand new.
The new prices make no sense at all. If you were to build the car with new parts it would probably be a couple hundred thousand dollars.
The dealership/Lexus make huge profit margins on new parts. Would not surprise me if the dealership is getting it from Lexus for 20-30% msrp. In this case it's what I like to call the Maximum Suggested Retail Price.
Peasodos, have you figured out the rear camera on the radio upgrade? Did the alpine camera work? I can't believe that of all the things that are not plug and play when upgrading the head unit, it is the rear camera. After market ones have a power wire to the reverser lights, and a wire to a display. That's it. Why is Lexus so difficult in this matter. Love following your upgrades though. I have the same 2013 450h model year as you. Someday, going to tackle the auto mirrors following your thread.

In the GS it's not a simple reverse light signal that triggers the backup camera. 2013-2014 has a different wiring for reverse than 2015-2020, one is driven by canbus signal and the other is analog signal. My aftermarket carplay kit has the option to add on a aftermarket reverse camera, I'm hoping that will work perfectly. I'll update the thread when I get the aftermarket camera working.
Not too hard to wire up, tap three wires from the existing clock harness, and tap two wires from a plug that goes into the back of the radio. I bought the correct plug/connector and terminal wires to make my own harness, that way I can easily disconnect this in the future instead of hardwiring it. Once it's all hooked up it will automatically adjust the time based on the head unit
Does anyone know if the clock automatically changes when you drive into a different time zone?

Where did you get the connector for the 2016 clock?
Please take pictures when you install it.
I guess this clock does not fit with the 2013 air vent?
It's might fit, but there will be two holes for clock adjustment the 2016+ clock doesn't have.
I'll finally get it installed this week and report back to this thread.
Here is my aftermarket backup camera, I got an alpine camera that looks similar to factory. Then I got a cheap used GS camera on eBay and cut the camera off, these two pieces will get glued together so it has the same exact dimensions as the factory backup camera and mount in the same exact spot as the factory camera in the trunk.
This is what the factory backup camera looks like for reference:
How did you source the power for the camera? I am thinking about running it to the power wire of the factory camera?

I ended up using an aftermarket alpine camera and connected it to carlinkit(aftermarket carplay and android auto kit), it supports full screen aftermarket backup camera and has 12v acc power for it:
