Default Intelligent Park Assist Retrofit?

Looking for info on whether anyone has tried retrofitting the park assist system on a car that didn't come with it from the factory. I did some searching and didn't seem to find anything.

I understand it would include acquiring sensors for the front and back, and either drilling the bumpers or getting a hold of bumpers that have the necessary holes. I did find someone that said the wiring is in place. I would also need the park assist button for the center console.

Is there going to be a park assist module that needs to be installed too? How would one go about enabling the system once the components are all installed?

The park assist feature is one of the few options not included on my that I think I would like, so trying to see how much trouble it would be to add.

Thanks,

It could be done, but would require drilling 4 holes in each bumper, installing the sensors, and computer modules.

Only thing we don't know is if your car is prewired for this. Only way to know for sure is to take a bumper off and see if there is a plug for the wiring harness to plug into. If not it's a much more involved project.

Here are all the components for the Park assist system: Sensors, wires, an ecu, a buzzer, and on/off switch for the center console.

The park assist ecu is not that expensive:
Here is one for $40 and you can make offers.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-2015-L...oAAOSw1rxdMegE

The sonar sensors are $172 a piece new each. I would find the same color car in a junkyard and get the sensors off that. You can search junkyard parts with car-parts.com
I also see used ones on eBay go as low as $40.

My 2013 GS350 has the park assist sensors but not the 360 degree camera view.
Is it possible to retrofit the 360 birds eye view cameras and module as a retrofit?

Anything is possible, but reverse camera, parking sensors, and auto tilt side mirrors is not enough?

Once you've had a 360 camera, nothing else comes even remotely close. My last car had a 360 camera and I miss it dearly.

wait, there really was a GS with 360? I thought only backup camera and night vision on the first, old ones (replaced with safetycamera lateron)

No, no 360 camera has been offered on it.
