Amazing how a thread on 200k mile Lexus issues turned into a discussion about octane ratings. To the OP, that probably answers your question on how many issues high mileage Lexus cars have.

Or nobody here is keeping their cars over 200K miles. If mine ever reaches 100K I'll drive to the dealer and trade it in for a new one or a lot sooner than that.

My man! I don't think I will ever reach 100K in my car. 7 years I hit 44,400 miles.

there was someone on "GStars" group page on facebook that has over 250k clocked on his 2013 F-Sport he stated he only changed the water pump and accessory(serpentine) belt no other major issues. He was on the original water pump until 180k *YIKES* lol

Does anyone know how much the dealer charges to replace the water pump if it's out of warranty?

... and he only changed the water pump because of the high mileage... it did not fail. I hope the other AC servo motors hold up for that long. LOL

The water pump is all metal, you'll never have to replace it, probably same reason Lexus doesn't recommend touching it, same reason you never have to touch the timing chain. My dad had a Honda accord that drove to 232,505 on the original water pump(never failed). Also the rubber timing belt was changed late, 150k miles, 50k miles over the recommended change interval and still was nowhere near critical condition.

I also plan on driving my GS past 232,505 miles, currently over 100k miles and no issues.

And to prove my point why you never have to touch the water pump:

127,000 on mines my ‘13. Bought it in 2015 with 35k miles. I do a lot of traveling so it mostly highway miles. Oil changes every 5k miles, I replaced the battery and a set of tires. No other issues besides my clock decided to stop working 20k miles ago..

My Dad has 210k on his 2006 GS300. Only issues he has ever had were a couple sensors. Hes has done Spark plugs when recommended and regular oil changes. I sold it to him 7 years ago with 53k on it. My 2015 only has 19k but these cars last a long time......
