Default Changed my foglights to LED. Detailed photos of the process

As noted in the "What did you do to your GS today" thread, I installed the first out of two brand new Miromoto LED foglights last weekend.
This weekend I did the other one in less than half the time while taking photos of everything.

There is no quick way to do this; the wheel must come off, many screws and some clips must come off, and you must crawl head first under the bumper with the car jacked up and secured.
But it is not difficult, just fun.

Remove 4 screws

Twist and pop out pins from two clips on the edge and pull apart

Under the bumper, there are one clip and 3 screws to remove:

Snap the wheel well liner out from the bumper and pull it back and secure it in some way

When I did mine I just turned the wheel all the way to the inward position.

Removed the two side bumper clips, and the couple bolts underneath(only had to feel with my hand, since I knew were they were, taken bumper off before).
This allowed me to bend the plastic fender liner out of the way enough to stick my hand inside. Then there is only one screw holding the fog light in place.

Unscrew the old fog light with two screws. One is easy and one is a pain.

Note clips that keeps the fake ventilation hole plate that is part of the fog ligth frame

You only had to remove the one screw marked in Green to remove the fog light, only one screw holding it in place.

What you did was remove the entire plastic fog light trim, not necessary.

I marked it in green

Here is the part from the factory manual. Just one screw and you pull out just the fog light, no need to remove the plastic fog light trim.

Guess that is possible. Which brand lights was this? As you will see there were some steps that made me glad to make the access as good as possible.

Yea, I swapped out my OEM foglights to the Morimoto LEDS without a jack, only turning the wheel to the opposite side.

Took the wheel well clips off, undid the screws underneath the bumper, then ratcheted the single screw that holds it in.

Took 5 minutes per side

Miromoto warns that a minor modification is necessary. The mounting tabs on the side without the one screw, are a bit too long and must be cut

Close up of the problem

After cuting the tabs the light center properly

Bad lighting, but the tabs are cut in this photo

In order to be fully happy I cut the little plastic pin that support the fourth mounting tab. Without doint this the frame would twist when I screwed the light to the frame.

Did you have any info on how to assemble the electrical plug? I did not have any info on that so I had to test the polarty after assembly. And doing that with only the access after removing the clips would be harder

Just look at the existing plug on the oem fog light, black is ground, so just push those pins in the socket so they connect the same way.
