I have almost 300 miles on the car since the shim installation. Best pedal ever and no squeaks...
Fingers crossed, which is the scientific approach.

Unfortunately the squeal is back. I love the car, but I am not happy.

I have 2015 F Sport RWD and I've tried everything under the sun (aftermarket brake parts) but nothing worked. Since I've had enough with it I decided to go with all stock 2-piece front rotors, new updated pads p/n 04465-30540 (Advics), shim kit p/n 04945-30340, it has been a year now with 11,000 miles on it since then I haven't had any brake squealing or squeaking at all

I purchased the Advics TSB pads today; will instal tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed...
I love this car but I'm mad at this car.
All the Lexus drivers standing around had goo goo eyes over our Model 3.

So after changing out the brakes equipment per this post at the beginning and having the one piece rotors, the squeal is back almost all of the time. This is maddening. If I remember correctly, the two piece rotors had some kind of clinking noise on occasion. I have different rotors now. The only time the brakes are quiet is after they've warmed up and the car has been driven for a while. Generally, they squeal all of the time. One other car I notice that seems to have this problem a lot is the Infinity M37.
I am tired of spending money on this issue, but I just can't stand hearing these brakes all of the time.

Speaking of brakes, anyone else get a clacking brake sound when braking after switching directions? Usually can hear it when backing out of driveway then going forward. Dealer tech says normal for calipers engaging or something.

I just wanted to report that I recently had the rotors turned about a month ago and the brake squeal is pretty much gone. I occasionally get it once in a while, but that's a far cry from what it used to be which was all of the time even with the change to the 1-piece rotor and brakes per the TSB.
In the end here's what I have found since 2018:
Beware though. The place that turned my rotors damaged one of my rocker panels (side skirt) caused by their vehicle lift and then tried to act like I brought the car in that way. They ended up fixing though. Take pictures of your car when you take it somewhere.
In the end here's what I have found since 2018:
- My brakes never squealed when I had the 2-piece rotors and previous brakes
- Once Lexus changed my rotors to 1-piece rotors and different brakes (43512-WY010/43512-WY020 / 04465-30491 / 47791-30020) to address a clicking sound in the 2-piece per a TSB (L-SB-0015-18), that's when the constant brake squeal started
- The 2-piece rotors with the old brakes and new brakes from the TSB on this thread stopped the squeal only for a short time
- The most successful action I've taken is having the rotors turned. I didn't do that when I first got the rotors because, per the recommendation from my mechanic, they were new and that was unnecessary.
