Default Looking to get some input from high milage owners

Hello fellow Lexus owners, I am in the market to get an upgrade from my 08 IS 250 AWD for something a little bigger & more updated. I have no doubt that any Lexus car can easily surpass 100k miles but I found an offer that seems a little too good to be true or maybe I’m being skeptical here. I want to get a GS 350 F Sport but most are out of my price range at $30k with relatively low milage, but I found two that fit the bill for me.

This first 2013 GS 350 is priced at $18k with 103k miles, I currently have 114k on my 250 & I’m still going strong but it seems a bit too high for a 2013 to already have 100k miles. It looks great & it’s the exact spec I want it in, even the red leather but I haven't seen too many high milage GS 350’s & I was hoping to get more information from owners who have met or exceeded the 95,000 mile mark. My other option is a 2013 GS 350 F Sport with 61k miles but at a $22k price tag. Should I shell out the extra bit of cash for the same spec car (which doesnt have my preferred red leather seats) & worry less about maintenance (lol) or would I be perfectly fine with the aforementioned GS 350.

sorry if this post has been very long but I just want to get a feel for the GS reliability compared to how all the IS members can easily reach 200k with proper maintenance & care. Lexus will be Lexus & as such will be reliable under proper care & I hope I can save some cash by going higher milage & keep this car for many many many years to come.

thank you for any & all who have read up to this point, hope to hear back soon!

The miles should not scare you off. My car has about 100k miles and runs excellent, that is normal for a car this age. The question to you is the 42k mile difference worth the $4k price difference. Also the physical condition of each car, color, and options matter.

Both are overpriced. There is one selling in NJ right now with no accidents and F sports package with red interior and white exterior and all service records with the dealer for 14K. Mileage is around 115K

Register at Lexus/owners web site. It is free. Gives you detailed info on both. The $22,000 has more consistent maintenance done but some previous issues showed up. The main thing with any Lexus has the fluids been changed on time. The oil every 10,000 miles and the brake fluid every 30,000. Lexus has been #1 for eight years in a row in dependability by J D Power and in the survey just out for 2020 is #2. The GS is always rated the most dependable midsize premium car.

I wouldn't worry about mileage but the cars you listed are overpriced. You can get way better deals that that. My 4th gen GS has over 130K miles now and still going strong.
