How long can you prolong an oil change?
My car is due for an oil change in the next 1,000kms (621 miles) how long could I possibly push the oil change without damaging the engine or voiding any warranty (have warranty until 2021)? an extra 2000kms(1240 miles)? I usually just get the oil change done at the dealership and given the covid19 issue we are dealing with I don't want to go near a dealer. My other options are for me to do it or to have a friend do it (if it comes to it but would rather not).
update: Dealerships are actually closed now due to the pandemic so that's not even an option for now.
Thanks I know most of you will just say to do it yourself (but I've never done the oil change on this car myself so don't want to risk it).

You could double or triple the mileage and it wouldn't cause any harm or damage whatsoever to your engine. But, that's not what you want to do in order to maintain your warranty. Your choices of getting the engine oil and filter changed are good - pick one!
I suspect your Lexus dealership is not very busy nowadays and the wait shouldn't be as long or normal. They might even have something setup to maintain a safe distance when you arrive and when you pay...and it shouldn't be a problem for you to keep a safe distance from others while you wait. Just don't touch your face until you can wash your hands! You might want to carry some alcohol wipes to wipe down the steering wheel and door handle when you get back in the car.

Some local dealers are offering to come pick up your car, take it to service, and return it. If you are comfortable with that kind of a situation, you could check and see if they are willing to do that. If your dealer isn't too far away, I bet they'd be willing as I'm sure they need the business right now. I'd call and check.

How many miles have you driven since the last oil change and how much do you plan on driving in the upcoming few weeks? I think those answers will help determine how much longer you can go without your oil change...

I’ve gone 2k miles over the 10k interval. Supposedly the oil manufacturer say it can last till 15k miles.
Nothing bad is going to happen if you go a few k over with a quality oil
I do oil changes myself and was waiting for better weather otherwise I do it normally at 10k intervals.

I've driven on synthetic Mobil 1 Extended Performance for 12,000 miles without issue. Oil change recommendations are synthetic for 10,000mi on the 4GS.

You'll be fine going a couple thousand miles over the recommended oil change interval with a good synthetic, oil does not just suddenly degrade or start hurting your engine at some given point or when you pass the recommended mileage, I wouldn't worry at all about it. If worse comes to worse just change it yourself, it is not that difficult, plenty of video's how to do it, most difficult thing is jacking the car up, jack stands and a wheel pump/left really come in handy when changing your own fluids. If you don't want to change your own oil and can't get it changed for while then you could just put a little extra fresh oil in it, just make sure you don't put too much.

Hello OP,
Depending on your driving conditions, the oil change recommended by Lexus US is either every 6-months or 5,000 miles, or every 12-months or 10,000 miles. The 6-months or 5,000 miles oil change is only recommended if you operate your vehicle in special conditions like dirt or dust, short trips or excessive idling. Provided that you are using a full synthetic 0w 20 oil, you will be alright to run it for 10,000 miles. I switch between Pennzoil Platinum and Mobil 1 oils but I try my very best to get the oil change done at 10,000 miles. I think on two occasions I went over by about 100 miles.
