Default Trac Off and Check Engine after brake replacement

I did some searching but didnt see any threads related to Trac Off light and Check Engine light on after replacing brakes.

i replaced my rear brakes and immediately after staring the car the Check Engine light and Trac Off alert were on. I will take it to the parts store to read codes this week. In the meantime I thought I would ask this crew if they have experienced the lights triggered by replacing the brakes?

Thanks

Maybe something to do with the rear parking brake. Did you change the rear rotors for some reason? My 450h is at 100k miles, original rotors, no issuies, only pad changes.

Peasodos, you really had to change your pads on the 450h? The rear ones at that as well. My normal ICE pads have lasted 100k miles or more. In fact just changed a 2010 Honda CRV pads out for the first time at 127k miles. The rears still had some pad life left on them.

I'm changing my pads for the first time since I bought the car used. The car had 64k miles when I bought it so maybe they changed the pads before or maybe they didn't. Now at 100k miles the front is worn down pretty good, nothing critical yet, but enough for me to get the new pads. Rears are probably fine, but just changing it so I don't have to think about it for a long time.

My state inspection is due in March so I plan on doing the work myself by then.

Yes I had to change the rotors. The rear inside pads were nearly completely gone and the inside of the rotors were worn unevenly. It was a bear to get them off even with the ebrake released. Had to turn the other wheel to get the rotor to unscrew off the ebrake. Suspicious turning the wheel may have disrupted a traction sensor. Thoughts?

Your supposed to adjust the ebrake shoe to get the rotor off easily:

Maybe forcing it off misaligned or damaged a sensor, idk. You'll know for sure when you can read the DTC.
