Lexus Credit Card Key part number for 2013 GS 350

A few people on CL have had the same issue, a few installed a brand new battery and it then programmed. Is your credit card key brand new or a used key you bought somewhere? Even a brand new key could have a weak or dead battery from sitting on a shelf for a few years. There are vendors on eBay and Amazon who can re-virginize keys, meaning allow a used key to be re-written to a different vehicle.

It's a brand new key from Lexus. Went to the dealership and they couldn't do it either lol.

Best way is kind of subjective. The easiest way is go to Lexus dealer, verify the fitment with your VIN, have them order the credit card key, emergency key and program it when it comes in, no chasing around and if it won’t program, well they said it would work, so they’ll have to make it work or refund money. The cheaper way requires you to find someone with techstream or ability to program the key to the car. A few people bought these keys new and had problems. A few were solved by installing a brand new battery, in their brand new key which supposedly had a new battery and it then programmed. If you don’t have techstream, don’t know anyone with it, the dealer is surely the easiest way to go. Many people want to save money and are up for the challenge of either purchasing techstream and diy the job or finding a Club Lexus member with the ability to do it nearby. Ohio May have a few members willing to help out.

The credit card key that will work for any 4th Gen Lexus GS any year is the GSF Key:
89904-30L50
You'll save $100-200 buying the key new from an online dealer, compared to walking into local dealer.
Been there done that:

You can program it yourself like I did or take it to a dealer.

I bought the Key blade here:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/234201146354
and this seller on ebay cut the key blade for me for $25, just mailed them the key and send them a picture of my existing key. Their software will select the correct design to cut and it works perfectly. Saves you at least $75 compared to the dealer.

I use a slim wallet and only put it in the front pocket. Stopped using the rear pocket long ago didn’t like the uneven feeling on the butt cheek.

There are no buttons on it at all. No lock, unlock, or trunk open.
