Default Fuel Pump Recall Poll

All

Just got my Fuel Pump Recall Notice (2015 GS350 F-Sport). Wondering what the general consensus is regarding course of action:
  1. Continue to drive until remedy is announced and available.
  2. Request Rental/Loaner from Lexus dealership.
  3. What are you talking about?????

I mean, a loaner might be cool for a couple weeks or whatever. But what are they going to have? An ES, RX, or NX? Nah....

I thought this only affected GS years 2013-2014 and 2018-2019? I logged into Lexus owners website and saw this for my 2015 GS.

Safety Recall 20LA01 (Interim Notice 20LB01), Multiple Model and Model Years, Vehicle May Stall During Driving at Higher Speed

However it seems there is no solution available yet at least not for the 2015. Status: Remedy Not Available

I thought it was only certain 2018 and 2019 models...

Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain 2018-2019 Model Year Lexus LS 500, LC 500, RC 350, RC 300, GS 350, IS 300, ES 350, LX 570, GX 460, and RX 350; certain 2019 Model Year Lexus NX 300, RX 350L, and GS 300; certain 2018-2019 Model Year Toyota 4Runner, Camry, Highlander, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Sienna, Tacoma, and Tundra; and certain 2019 Model Year Toyota Avalon and Corolla in the United States. Approximately 696,000 vehicles are involved in this recall. The subject vehicles are equipped with a fuel pump which may stop operating. If this were to occur, warning lights and messages may be displayed on the instrument panel, and the engine may run rough. This can result in a vehicle stall, and the vehicle may be unable to be restarted. If a vehicle stall occurs while driving at higher speeds, this could increase the risk of a crash.

Toyota is currently investigating this issue and will be developing a remedy. When the remedy is available, there will be no cost to vehicle owners. All known owners of the affected vehicles will be notified by first class mail by mid-March.

Information about automotive recalls, including but not limited to the list of involved vehicles, is current as of today’s filing date and is subject to change thereafter. To see if your vehicle is involved in a safety recall visit Toyota.com/recall or nhtsa.gov/recalls and enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or license plate information.

For the most up to date information surrounding recalls visit https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls. For any additional questions, customer support is also available by calling the Toyota Customer Experience Center at 1.800.331.4331 or the Lexus Guest Experience Center at 1.800.255.3987.

That's beyond strange that a 7 year-old vehicle is involved in a recall and owners didn't even realize their vehicle had a problem...and there is no remedy.

Does anyone know the effected VIN's? My 2013 GS350 has no recall information when I plug the VIN into Lexus's recall lookup? Does this mean its not included in the recall?

Our 2015 Crafted Line just got recalled as well. We are going to continue to use it until this pandemic is over since we have been driving it this long without issue. Plus, we have multiple cars so it does not get used everyday anyhow.

got mine replaced about a month ago before a big shortage happened due to all the recalls. all i can say is try to get it fixed asap bc you dont want your car to just die in the middle of driving, especially somewhere like a highway where you'll have to glide it off the highway lol

except how can it be fixed when there is no solution. I assume the pump they replace with is the same one thats already in the car if theres no resolution so it really doesn't help unless you've had issues with your fuel pump
