Default Illuminated Door Sills

I stumbled across a parts car off a 2016 GS and quickly realized that it had illuminated door sills. For those who have experience with illuminated door sills, would they be salvageable off another car? Am I able to get them removed with all the wiring still intact necessary to be installed on my car?

The wiring for the door sills is very basic, one positive and one negative, there is no plug for it, just taps into the footwell lights. If they remove it and pull up the wiring and cut it, your good to go.

If you want to remove them intact, it's a project: if they were installed as per the factory instructions, there are like 23 zip ties.

I bought my illuminated sills salvaged from a wreck on ebay for $145, so there's that much value in them.

I installed mine with only a couple zip ties.

Right, but without knowing who installed them....factory/port or Joe Schmoe down the street, there's no way to really know how involved it will be to remove them. If the car is in a junk yard, go to town on it. Just be prepared to spend longer than you think.

It’s zip ties and wire not complicated at all to remove you guys are over thinking this. If you don’t want to cut zip ties just cut the wire short and extend it with another piece of wire later.

I have no trouble with extending wires. So basically, all it consists of is two wires all the way running to the footwell lights?

Yes, it’s very basic wiring, just an led light.
