Retrofit Factory lux rear sun sunshades into a 2013 GS

So I tested out the fitment of the shade and panel and it fits fine without getting the shade specific division bar. Not I need to find some good 5% tint to layer up and cover up the back side of the shade

Continuation of install, first step is to remove the black bar to remove the rear door side window.. There is a small screw under the weather strip, remove that.
Then remove these two bolts, circled in red. Make sure your glass is all the way down.
Remove the inner weather strip and pull the black bar out, careful when removing it.
Then slide the small glass out.
I added a 1.5" Black vinyl strip on the edge of the glass to blackout the small sunshade mechanism. Doing this instead of replacing the glass with the one for the sunshade.
Glass reinstalled.
Reinstall the black bar(or in my case I replaced it with the one for the sunshade) and the door panel, make sure the glass is in the track!
Now my 20 percent tints look like limo tint with the shade up.

Personally, I tint my vehicles at 5% or 2.5%, so the rear shade doesn't help me (or passengers). But nice to see it done!

The blackout tape you linked to on amazon would do the same thing. I also used a metal ruler and cut directly on the glass using a surgical blade, doesn't take much pressure, since the surgical blade is very sharp.
