Default Cabin Air Filter

Do you think that the OEM Cabin Air Filter is 3-4 times better than an aftermarket one like the following:

https://www.amazon.com/TYC-800179C-Replacement-Cabin-Filter/dp/B00LM03YFA/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=TYC+800179C+Replacement+Cabin+Air+Filter+Compatible+with+Lexus&qid=1587941616&sr=8-1 https://www.amazon.com/TYC-800179C-Replacement-Cabin-Filter/dp/B00LM03YFA/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=TYC+800179C+Replacement+Cabin+Air+Filter+Compatible+with+Lexus&qid=1587941616&sr=8-1

Or, do you think that the performance of an aftermarket filter would be fine?

Thanks.

Nope. With OEM the quality is just more consistent. Aftermarket can be a hit and miss, but its only a cabin air filter. Stick to OEM for everything else like oil filters.

If you want an Upgraded cabin filter, we can get BLITZ Cabin Filters.

I'd be interested in one of those, had one in my older gs, was really good.

I just get the charcoal filters on eBay that look oem, but 1/3 the price.

I would stay with oem unless you know for sure the aftermarket ones have good reviews on them. I tend to go OEM for peace of mind.

Yea but a cabin filter isn't critical. All it does is filter the outside air coming in just like your home AC unit.

The cabin filter is the only aftermarket item on my car, it literally doesn't matter! It's not worth spending $80 on a carbon filter IMO
