I went to a mechanic because my car has a slight shake/pull when I get over 70mph. He inspected the steering assemblies and my passenger side was the problem.
I ordered the part off www.LexusPartsNow.com because the picture listed was the part I needed.
Long story short, they sent the incorrect part (I think?) and refuse to correct their mistake.
The part I need is shown below. Notice it has two bolt holes and two places for steering connection.
This is the part I was sent, which is also the picture on the Lexus website for the same part number shown above. Notice it has two bolt holes, but only one place for steering connection.
My question is: if this is the part Lexus is selling (I even searched using my VIN) but it doesn't match the picture on the diagram, where can I find the correct part? Does anybody have any advice/recommendations?
@jlandry287 from what i'm seeing, it looks like there is a difference in design between the ball joints listed for RWD and AWD suspensions. Looks like you were sent the one for AWD (not sure if you ordered that one or they made a mistake - check your invoice/reciept!)
Here are the ball joints you need if you have a Rear Wheel Drive GS:
Here is the part they sent you, which is for an All Wheel Drive GS:
