Pedal Swap
Greetings All-
I've ordered the aluminum pedal set for my 2017 GS350, and looking to get a head start on the install. I'm fairly certain the stock rubber brake pedal pad just stretches and pulls off, but does anyone know how the accelerator pedal comes off? Are tools necessary? Any 'gotchas' to look out for? Inquiring minds would love to know....thanks!

So - I completed the pedal swap. The removal instructions were dead on, but I ran into a small problem. These are the pedals I ordered, which are supposed to fit the 2017 GS (according to their fitment guide):
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Car-Acceler...0353.m2749.l26
On the install, the brake pedal pad fit fine (and yes, it's a bit of a bear to get on, but doable), but the accelerator doesn't fit snugly at the bottom like it should. The top of it fit fine, but the bottom of the cover was loose, not gripping the existing one to the point where I didn't even feel safe trying to drive it that way. Since my guess was that returning them to China and attempting to get a refund was a long shot, I decided to put my Engineering degree to use and improvise a bit. Here's the before pic:
And here's the after:
You'll notice there are two small stainless screws I inserted at the bottom to hold the cover in place. Not as clean a look as I'd like, but gives it a more, shall we say, 'industrial' look.
Also, the dead pedal they shipped didn't completely cover the existing pad, so I left it off. Here's the size difference:
Didn't quite look right to me, so I ditched the idea of sticking it on.
Just my experience with this - so for anyone else considering purchasing that particular pedal set, buyer beware....though I think it still turned out okay...

That's not an actual picture of my pedals, I own a 2016 F-Sport but leased a 2015 for 2 years and prefer the way the 2015 drives and handles especially in Sport+ mode, firmer suspension and heavier steering.

I think the RC F or the LC has a smaller dead pedal, so you got the wrong one. I looked you can't buy the GS dead pedal by itself, only if you buy the entire floor carpet.

Apologies for bumping an old thread back up, but I was looking to do a similar pedal replacement with F Sport pedals from Lexus Boutique with the 2022 ES 350:
https://lexusboutique.net/collection...pedal-2pcs-kit
From what I can tell, it looks like the the assembles are similar to the GS where the accelerator is simply blotted down. However at that point can you simply slide it off, or is it attached to anything else? I was reading doing this for the IS was a bit more complicated so wasnt sure if that applied to the ES and GS. From what I can tell from the part, it does look like a slide out, but would appreciate any guidance (I am new to this )
