I recently picked up a 2015 GS350 F-Sport with 47K miles. I didn't care much about having Mark Levinson so I purchased a GS without it but after having it a few months, I'm left with wanting more bass. I have a JL Audio 8" sub/amp combo and was thinking how difficult it would be to install it in the trunk. I'm also curious if the stereo would be able to power this thing or any replacement mid-speakers in the car.
Thoughts?
Thanks for the help

Reason: clarification
Not sure if that 8" would really give you the bass you'll need (or be noticeable over the stock sub). What's the specs on that thing? It might not hit frequencies below the stock sub so you may have more of an effect of enhancing the midbass freqs, which I feel the GS does fairly well already.
You'll need an amp kit and line converter (I don't see line level inputs on that pic). There's a few subwoofer threads that will point you to what wires to tap into for the line converter - AudioControl seems to be the most widely used.
The good thing about wiring up the amp kit and converter is you can use them to put in a bigger/more powerful setup if needed. Hook up what you got and that will make it clear if you need to go 10, 12, more power, etc.

Trust me, these little 8" subs hit really good. I've had two and they provide very clean bass and people often think I have two 10" subs - JL Audio makes some solid stuff. Plus, I'm not interested in super strong bass that's going to make my ears rattle.
Below are the specs
Do you have a thread or two you recommend I review?
searches for subwoofer, lc2, and lc7 should bring up more results if needed.
I've always loved JL stuff, no doubt that's a nice package! I'm more of a sealed enclosure type of guy - 10s and 12s have worked best for my death metal over the years
