I own 2008 (Gen 3) RWD (terrible in winter) GS 350 with 190K miles - mint condition - has been a GREAT car - still rides perfect
I have my eyes on above - 18K miles - asking price $34,849 Lexus dealership - looked at it last night - outside is mint condition.
For those of you with ownership experience of 2016 model specifically F Sport I have some questions:
1) Your opinion - comments - thoughts of this model car?
2) Any issues I should be concerned with?
3) I have little knowledge on F Sport - what features in F Sport?
Thanks.

Without knowing too much, my first thought is that $34+k seems like too much for a '16.
But to your other questions:
1) My thoughts are that I am hardly unbiased, but I love it. I'm on my second and with the discontinuation of the GS line, I will be keeping my 19 for a very, very long time.
2) No real issues. Some minor things can come up, but they are well documented on this site.
3) F Sport is an appearance and handling package. Appearance wise on a 16, you'd be looking at the F Sport front grill and fascia treatment, 19" wheels (staggered if RWD), rear lip spoiler, and badging. On the interior you get the black headliner, 16 way driver's seat, Naguri trim (instead of wood), digital instrument cluster, and some more badging. Also the availability of the red interior. I'm sure I'm missing something there. The RWD F Sports have upgraded brakes, VGRS, and an option for rear wheel steering. All F Sports have the Adjustable Variable Suspension (AVS) and for me, that's where the true beauty lies.
Note that the full safety suite became an option on '16s, standard on '17s. If you have it, then you'll have the all-speed radar cruise, lane keep assist, auto headlights, etc.

JDR76,
Thanks for your response.
Follow up questions:
1) What is VGRS?
2) Any chance you owned a previous Gen? If so big difference between previous and Gen 4 that you own?
3) F Sport front grill diffferent?
4) Any concern of future service or parts now that GS is going away?
Thanks for your response.

I believe the car is in excellent condition however a little over priced. I believe he said his residual on his lease was 27-28k. The car is maybe worth 30-32k after being certified. I wanted to trade my 2015 in for the 2016 but they didn’t want to work on trade in or the price on the 2016.

If you can grab that car at a good negotiated price, I'd go for it. If that's jtrue28's old GS, you'll be hard pressed to find a 16 in any better condition than that one. Is it located at Lexus of Louisville ? The car speaks for itself if you look at the listing. Damn nice GS IMO!

Yes, Louisville KY - I looked at it last night after hrs - outside was totally impressive with no door dings and wheels looked like they just came off the showroom.

I also had a terrible experience with Rivercenter Lexus (Covington) when I bought my car a few years ago. Sales lady was absolutely worthless and didn’t even care to make a sale.

charley95,
I spoke with Jeff (previous owner of the car) this morning - great guy - gave me good info - was pumped - had 3:00 PM appt to drive it and was planning on making an offer - got text at 1:30 PM that car was sold to a walk in off the street and deal was made - I was stunned.
