I actually just had these put on right about a month ago at the recommendation of Discount Tire here on CL. I went with the Gmax AS-05 245/40/19 in front and Gmax RS 275/35/19 in the rear (rwd f sport). I mainly wanted them for wet tire traction and quietness. I was deciding between that and the Pirelli A/S Plus 2. There was a rebate going on with General so I went with those. We'll see how they do long term, but so far so good.

Are you sure you got 275-35-19 G-Max AS-05 for the rear? I believe AS-05 only comes in these 19 inch sizes with a 245 width or wider:
245-40-19
245-45-19
255-35-19
255-40-19
275-40-19

You're correct on the sizes but I think you may have misread my post. The AS-05 I got for the front tires only at 245/40/19.
On the rears I had to go with the Gmax RS, because, as you mentioned, the AS-05 do not come in the 275/35/19.

The reviews are pretty good for the tires also.

My Bridgestone OEM tires lasted me about 35K until I had a nail that got into it. Unknowingly it sat during the pandemic and had cracks on the side. I am not an aggressive driver and covered mostly city roads. Since I was replacing one, I figured I replace them all since it was about time. I researched for a long time but settled on the Continental ExtremeContact DWS and up the size. I am in NorCal so there is some moisture at times. OEM handled well but did not last long. DWS I expect to last longer but driving within a few miles within the city, I felt it was mushier. The sidewalls were not as firm and the car felt it was swaying and bouncing up and down more. It is quieter and seems like lower rolling resistance. Since I changed tire size, I don't know if it is getting better MPG due to the rotations. It is all-season so I don't expect it to handle like the Michelin. I had those in a different car. It was great when it was new, then it became louder as it wore and it wore faster and faster. Good luck.

I probably would have gotten about the same miles as you on the OEM Bridgestones but decided to replace them around 30K miles 3 months ago with the G-Max RS. We were getting plenty of rain here in SoCal around that time and there were discounts/rebates for the tires. Very good tires for $750 out the door installed with road hazard warranty for all 4 tires after rebates. I upsized to 245 and 275. Just like your Continental DWS, I wish the sidewalls are also slightly stiffer. Both tires are made at the same factory in Portugal and Czech Republic since Continental owns General Tires.

Fyi, the OEM Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires are only rated for about 15K-20K depending of course on multiple conditions (treadwear rating is only 140) so 35K miles is way over it's rating.

Tirerack has some "SPECIAL/CLOSEOUT" tires right now for some 19 inch tires. Here's the link for 245-40-19:

You're right, did not realize you have AS-05 fronts and RS rears. They usually don't recommend mixing different model tires even though they are same brand because the tread patterns may be different. AS-05 and RS tread patterns are very different. Why not just go with all G-Max RS? They are actually excellent in dry and even wet conditions.

Initially I wanted the AS-05 at Discounts recommendation for what I requested out of a tire. Which was quietness and wet conditions. That's when I saw the size was not available for the rear. I've never had General tires so I figured I'd try them both out. So far they've been great. Quiet, soft, and great traction on the AS-05 in wet weather during a hard turn, and quiet and soft on the rears.
Obviously they'll wear different, but I like the set up so far. I will say I like the tread patten better on the RS, but that's not so much a deciding factor on my daily.

Will do! Plan on doing a decent review on them after a while.

245-40-19 is the closest size and, if you have a square set up, you may be able get a great deal right now on a set of 245-40-19.

Check out this link: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireS...earDiameter=19

If you are looking for an all season tire, you may want to check out Vredestein Quatrac Pro. Slightly less expensive and better ratings than the General G-Max AS-05.
