Default Best Tires for GS 350 F Sport?

Hey guys I have a 2014 GS 350 F Sport and keep going through my rear tires in 18 months or so. I do drive like a maniac so I'm sure that has something to do with it but what tires have you found offer the best combination of performance, comfort and durability? I have Michelin's on there now and I've worn them out in less than 18 months.

What type of tires are you looking for: summer or all season? How many miles are you getting out the tires and what type of Michelin tire do you have now?

I live in Dallas, TX so summer tires are essentially "all season" tires here. I'm only getting about 20k miles on the rear tires before they're too slick to drive on. I currently have the Michelin Pilot Sport AS 3+ tires.

You currently have all seasons so you must be driving extremely hard to wear those out in 20k miles. I would have suggested the Pilot Sport 4S which is a summer tire but you will likely get less mileage with your driving habits. They are absolutely the best performing wet/dry summer tire you can buy and well worth the price. If you push the car hard, then you just need to accept that's how fast you wear out tires. I got about 24K miles when I ran them on my 575hp SRT8 but I drove pretty docile as that car was a handful. I just put a set on my GS so I am hoping to get at least that mileage.

Best thing you can do is make sure the tires are wearing evenly all the way across the tread. check the air pressure often.
I drove my GS-F-sport 200 miles in pouring rain today with the Michelin Sport 4s half worn out today, & they were great.
Might put the same on my Boxster.

In addition to the tire pressure, also ensure your tires are balanced. Even a little vibration will cause excessive wear. Think about the eraser on a pencil, hold it against a rough surface and shake... that's how your tire wears.

Also, if you "drive like a maniac" your tires will wear quickly, no matter what brand. Michelins are considered superior and adhere quite well to the roads, so wear is expected. As a general rule, tires with a harder compound may last longer but will not perform as well. So be prepared for a trade-off in performance vs. treadwear. (as a general rule... there, however, will always be exceptions)

Driving like that will definitely eat your tires up in no time.
I had Nitto Invo's at first and they went quick.
Now I have Nitto Motivo's and im sure they will last longer if I keep my foot out of it.

I pulled the trigger on some Continental DWS 06's and those things are STICKY. We'll see how long they last. Thank you all for your input and recommendations.

I also went through my tears in 20000 miles. I had Michelin Pilot Sport on my BMW and my IS. Best handling tires I have ever used but wear rate was not all that great. Continental Sport Contact on my BMW gave great life but did not handle as well. Interested to see the feedback.

The Yokohama Advan Sport A/S+ (440) has more treadwear than the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (300). Sounds it will last longer but I didn't try it yet.

I wouldn't really want to compare an A/S tire to a Summer only tire.
