There may be a stop-sale on those 19s if they are on the recall list. Once the fuel pumps are replaced, they'll move them.

Old 1996-03 E39 & 2003-10 E60 5 Series shared platforms with 3 Series, just like E Class & C Class sharing MRA platforms, or GS & IS sharing the old N or New N platforms.

To be more precise, in the old days, the C/E Classes & 3/5 Series shared their respective platforms with cheap single lower link MacPherson strut front suspension, while the S Class & 7 Series used their own respective premium platform with premium double wishbone front suspension.

Nowadays, Benz shares RWD-based MRA platforms across the range [as opposed to MFA FWD-based], just as BMW shares OKL ober klasse across the range; [RWD-based OKL upper class as opposed to [b]UKL unter klasse under class FWD-based].
Just like Lexus using RWD-based GA-L as opposed to FWD-based GA-B in Yaris, GA-C in Corolla, and GA-K in Camry.

In the old days, only Lexus RWD-based platforms used premium double wishbone front suspension.
Nowadays, all the German RWD-based platforms use premium double wishbone front suspension.

Old 2003-10 E60 5 Series is best handling midsize ever, thanks to its smaller size & lighter weight.
So laser sharp; E60 was even sharper than 4 GS.

The downside of E60 includes its tiny interior & poor safety with only a 3 Star rating for some NTSHA tests.

Engineering is a compromize; the more you have of A, the less you have of B.
Hence each design has a different set of strengths & weaknesses.
They're all good, but in different ways.

E.g. Genesis G80.
It's half a size bigger & heavier than its peers for more space, ride comfort & refinement, but this compromizes its: performance, braking, fuel efficiency, maneuverability, and handling.

I owned an 2007 E60 530 with 6psd manual and loved it! Inline 6 butter smooth motor.
Owned a 2013 535i. Lovely care but big and felt it. Had a 2007 E92, or better known as a 328i coupe with sport package. I drove a 2020 RWD gs350 Fsport and it felt more like the E92. My AWD without he same steering is not the same.
All the while those BMW’s repairs are a pain.
I agree used GS is a great value and it was my first choice. Like I said, not many cars that fit my parameters did I find good pricing/car fax/CPO etc on what I wanted.

Personally, I wouldn't pay $50K+ for any car (not Tesla also). There are also 2019 GS350s at a few dealers but they can't sell due a recall. (not sure the details, they aren't talking). I'm guessing the fuel filter but there maybe something else. Maybe you can get a good deal if you can have somebody fix the issue and sell it.

The CPO vehicles (ES, GS) that we purchased has been a real disappointment with extra repairs and expenses. I guess you get what you pay for. You will be buying somebody else's problem if you don't how to look.

I bought my car on the last day of the year. No pandemic pricing incentives. Great time to buy a car now.

Very nice. I have purchased a different vehicle near end of the year also before. The sales people thought I was window shopping at some dealers so they didn't wait on me. Best prices maybe end of year but the new 2020 GS may not be around though. Not sure, one dealer said the regular GS350 model allocations are done. No more.

My local dealer has 3 2020s in stock. Two of them are Atomic Silver. If I didn't think I'd get destroyed financially, I'd go swap out my 2019 SGM for one.

I see many black interior but not many red interior for Atomic Silver in our area.

Likewise, I may swap my 2016 GS350 non- F sport for a newer model with F Sport probably not 2020 though.

I'm fine with the black interior as I don't care for the red, though Atomic Silver with flaxen interior would be the winning combo for me.

I check in with the dealer about one of the Atomic Silver 2020s. No discount at all. Just $1000 in loyalty and $2 or $3k in an LFS rebate.

I thought I would see if they were giving good discounts and with the lower interest rate if I could make a swap that was pretty much straight across, but it was not to be. Would easily be another $100+ a month. While I really want Atomic Silver again, it's not worth it to me to pay that extra amount and I think it's a bit ridiculous that they are asking full MSRP on it. Oh well, no worries.

It must depends on the area and dealer I guess. Dealer incentives are given by dealer (cut their profit) not Lexus. I'm not paying MSRP either. Our area has 0% financing or 3000 cash purchase currently til June 1st. $3000 off lease.

For sure. When I leased my 15, I got $5k in LFS rebates and another $5k off from the dealer, for a total of $10k off. If I could get a similar deal on a 2020, I’d go for it. But it was $4k in rebates and nothing off from the dealer.

That's nice for the lease for the '15 one. I wonder what's the incentives from the manufacturer (Lexus/Toyota) on purchases before 2020?

I'm always surprised to hear how people hate the GS infotainment systems. I have owned Mercs, many Cadillacs and others including even a Charger Hellcat and I can honestly say I love my GS infotainment system. The screens are bright and clear, the screen responds to my inputs fast, the little mouse always work great for me and I don't see the problem. My Iphone's bluetooth links up to the car perfectly so I can play my music, or I can plug the phone in the armrest and sync up and charge at the same time. I cant use the iPhone NAV on the car, but the factory NAV works great.

Maybe I'm just different, but I love the GS infotainment. The large screen is one of my favorite things about the interior.

Now would I pay 60K for one new??? HELL NO. If I was going to spend 60K FOR ANY CAR, (No Disrespect to Lexus b/c I love all their vehicles) I would get a CPO S-Class, 7 Series, Maserati or even a CPO Hellcat or Lexus LS. On the used car market, 60 grand opens up incredible possibilities.

This being my first Japanese car, I was actually looking to purchase a used LS460. While looking, I test drove a GS on a whim and IMMEDIATELY fell in love. I still want a LS tho. I switch up my cars quick so I may get a LS next. But I do love this GS so much, I could easily see myself just keeping it. My Build Thread is coming soon...... lol

Op asked Why. Not not Why not. I’d don’t think anyone here paid MSRP..
