I bought this rear spoiler from Amazon prepainted to match for $140 (I had some gift cards to burn) delivered. Me and a buddy put on last Saturday with minimal fuss. It included a couple of template strips that made drilling the holes easy. The one on eBay wants to charge $20 for a template?
Anyway, it was packed really well in a firm box, wrapped in foam with an inner cloth sleeve and twist-tied in place to avoid damage. I like it! I know it is 99.997% cosmetic under 140MPH.
Finished job Box as delivered Well packed Instructions Diagrams Mounting hardware and template Cloth wrapped Good looking Good test fit Another test fit
Looks great! You saved over $100 by going aftermarket...i got the OEM spoiler from Amazon (SSL Lexus dealership was the seller) color matched a few years back for $260. Dawn makes a lot of aftermarket spoilers to OEM spec. Well done
That's a split image of my car, color, wheels, everything and now the "drilled" spoiler. Great work and it looks great. It definitely needs the spoiler IMHO. It took me way longer to get up the courage to drill the trunk, than to actually do the work. Read post after post about using double sided tape. I was about to do that, when the driver side trim on my wife's 13 RX just "came off" one day. We pulled into the garage and there it was hanging by the only place it was bolted on. The decision to drill was confirmed. Arizona heat does crazy things to adhesives, so drilling just seemed logical at that point. Besides, that's how they are from factory and anyone who closes the trunk will likely do so touching the spoiler, since us 13 owners aren't worth of the auto trunk feature! LOL!

I'm not afraid to make holes when needed. We cut a buddies hood for a scoop with a jigsaw a few years back. The worst thing about drilling was metal shavings.
I drilled the smallest hole that the bolts would go through even though the instructions suggested going two sizes larger. I did have to wiggle the holes just a tad but not two sizes bigger. I put touch up paint on the holes had no issues.
I also used dry erase markers instead of grease pencil to mark the location while test fitting.
If I were doing another one, I think I would exchange the bolts for studs and nuts. Install the studs in the spoiler so that when the spoiler was installed, it would align with the holes before the tape stuck.
