GS 350 F Sport- no sport plus
Hi all,
New to the forums and shopping around for a 4th gen gs350. Saw a dealer post in socal with a 2016 GS 350 F Sport. Upon further examination I did not see the sport plus feature on the drive modes. When I asked sales rep he told me "that's only on the super sport models". I've never heard of this. Can someone elaborate? If there is a dedicated thread to the F Sport and it's comparison to regular GS 350 models please direct me.
Thanks!

I hope that wasn't a Lexus dealer that told you that! All F-Sport models have an S+ mode. Many folks add F-Sport parts (wheels, grille, F-Sport emblems) but a true F-Sport will have that Sport+ mode.
If it does NOT have the sport+ mode on dial in the center stack, it is likely a base model the dealer is selling and has NO IDEA about the trim lines (there is no "super sport" model). Just for your reference: Sport+ is available on the 2013-2020 F-Sport, 2016-2020 V8 GS F and 2013-2017 GS Luxury Pkg equipped models.
Here's a good vid:

Thanks for the quick response and info! I knew something wasn't right. It was some used car dealer that "specializes" in Toyota/Lexus. The video was helpful. Hope to be an official member of the community soon.

My usual go-to suggestion... register on https://drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers and input the VIN, you'll get some good info there, including the vehicle's original option packages and service history (if any).

Super Sport is a term used for '60s Chevelles, etc. Maybe he thinks he is at a classic car dealership?

Yup. There are many fake F Sport GS350 for sale. I would always check the drive mode (sport +), 18 ways (I believe) adjustable seat, F Sport steering wheel, and pop the hood and see the F sport suspension. Please note that, I believe hybrid GS also comes with sport + mode plus the 18 ways adjustable seat as well. When in doubt, just call the dealership.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I quickly stopped responding after I called out their bs. They have since changed the listing title. I'll be checking VIN from now on.

Ah, interesting. To be fair, I can sorta see how they got confused.
So what we have here is a premium trim that someone swapped out the grille for an F Sport one (guess we just answered the question if an F Sport grill fits the non F Sport bumper) and added F Sport badges.
