I just bought 2015 Lexus GS 350 with the 8at and got a code for p2716 shift solenoid D electrical but everything shifts smoothly. I try to clear the code but it will come back after 1 second. It has 125k miles

With those kms I'm assuming you bought it privately, sounds like he dumped it on you.

Take it to a transmission shop - get the level checked and ideally a small fluid change. They will likely scan it with their equipment or change the solenoid.
