I had the battery replaced in my 15 GS350 Fsport at the dealership this week... total was $176 before they applied the $50 battery replacement coupon that they are currently running (mention the YouTube commercial promotion). They also took care of the fuel pump recall and put us in a 2020 RX350 for the weekend. Overall amazing first experience at the Lexus dealership.

@Elbandito man, the Lexus dealers in California suck. I need to move to GA or somewhere where the dealers dont suck

I Have a Bosch AGM I replaced the OEM battery with after my remote start stopped working , it fitted perfectly without any modifications to the car. Ill try to find it , or you can look thru my posts

Well I may have spoken too soon. I just picked up the car this afternoon from the dealership, and on first look everything was fine. On closer inspection of my rear bench seat just a moment ago, I noticed a brand new inch long, 1/4 in wide scuff right in the middle of my cabernet leather. Must have happened when they pulled the rear seat to replace the fuel pump. I'm a bit pissed, and I know this wasn't there before. I wipe the seats every other week with leather cleaner and they were near flawless. Nobody ever rides in the back either. Not trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill here but damn... Gonna call my service advisor tomorrow and see what he says.

Does it wipe off with some leather cleaner, if not then worth bringing up with the dealer.

Definitely not. It's a scuff in the leather. Going to call in the morning and see what happens.

Sorry to derail from the original battery discussion.

You can find a leather compound of the same colour to cover it up. Try a handbag or shoe specialise store.

Yea that's not really the point though, they damaged his leather and didn't even say anything.. that's not service.

That's really bad. Definitely should have Lexus dealer fix it. If they don't fix it, complain to Lexus Corp.

yeah that's pretty much unacceptable. that looks like a tool or something hard. I have installed a dash cam, fixed the door rattle issue on all doors, installed a aftermarket stereo in my car , and mounted 4 antennas on the rear glass, meaning I had to pull 4 cables and a spare ethernet to the back of the car and I have yet to scuff the leather. You have to be careless to do it. Our cars are pretty easy to take apart and the leather is very resilient.

I use to purchase car batteries from Walmart. Everstart Maxx due to CCA and price. How much cranking amps (CCA) does the OEM one have?

It lasts a long time also. I like the pick the fresh batteries myself.
