OEM Battery
My '15 GS350 is now five years old. The factory battery is still going strong but I'm wondering how long this battery will last. It's a sealed, maintenance-free battery and replacing it through Toyota/Lexus will run $600 - $ 700; this is way too much for a battery unless it'll last 10+ years. I can't find the equivalent anywhere [80D26R-MF]. Does anyone have any experience with replacing this with an equivalent battery? When I look at any of the charts, they say that this battery may be replaced with a type 24, however, none of the measurements match what came with the car. Any advice?

Here's the part number: 00544-MF240-575. It's a 24 fitment and has 575 CCA
One tip if you've never replaced this battery before is to remove the hood strut as it makes it a lot easier to get the battery out and in.

I bought the car after the factory battery had been replaced. The factory battery, I believe is the one that comes in a frame. The battery I listed in the previous post should be the same approximate dimensions as the factory battery frame.

Go to Costco, get yourself an Interstate Battery. Great warranty and good price. The plastic sleeve won't fit, just remove it you don't need it.

I don't think it makes sense to buy the battery separately from a Lexus dealership online since online prices for OEM batteries via dealership sites are overpriced. It might make sense to speak to the dealership to find out how much they charge and the battery warranty offered on a new battery. Also, they often have service specials on battery replacement.
If you do go aftermarket, most folks who aren't me go with Optima or Interstate.

I replaced my OEM Panasonic battery after 7 years. It was working but I didn't want to push my luck during a Chicago winter. I got a DieHard gold battery to replace it.

Still using my factory 2013 battery. Just make sure it has enough water to keep the cells in working order, and take care not to let it drain.

I had to replace my OEM battery in a pinch last winter with one from pep boys. Works just fine.

If @bclexus was still here, he would highly advised you to change that battery ASAP and I'd agree with him. You're taking unnecessary risk of being stranded one of these days by hanging on to that old battery. Like I said, go to Costco get an Interstate battery, it doesn't costs much and they offer great warranty. Dealership should be around the same price maybe little bit more. I would not pay $600 for OEM battery.

All batteries are a crap shoot no matter the brand. I replaced mine in my 14 RX bought from the Toyota dealer which was considerably less than Lexus. Too bad BC is not coming back, I enjoyed his input.

Yes, looks like you're right. I have a 2013 and I looked it up on ssl-parts.com and it says it doesn't work. I don't know how to explain that but that is the battery that my local Lexus dealer sold me and it fits in my 2013 and works fine.

I pushed my original battery and started getting a check engine code P2610 - ECM/PCM Internal Engine Off Timer Performance. I tested the battery and it showed that it needed replacing, even though it started the car just fine. Strange electrical issues can happen if your car battery does not provide enough voltage to the many computers that run the vehicle. I wouldn't take a chance. A $120 battery sure is cheaper than getting stranded or causing a problem with a computer module.
