It is finally here (well, it wasn't that long of a wait but it felt like forever lol) I am sadly trading in my USB/Rioja Red 2018 GS350 F-Sport. It won't be much of a change, really, but since the GS Line will be saying good bye and both my wife and I love the GS, it felt proper to go with one of the 210 GS350 F-Sport Black Line Special "Final" Edition and the guys at the dealership were able to get me one so I couldn't pass on it, Frank is awesome for making it happen. It is a Caviar black with the red interior accents, gloss black wheels and orange calipers and it would have the black exterior accents but being Caviar I don't know if you will be able to tell any difference. The thing I love the most is the triple beam headlights, was one thing I really wished I had in my USB. But anyways, the car arrived last night at the dealership and my super awesome sales rep Patrick, as always, sent me a few pics of the car as it's sitting right now at the dealer. What sucks is we got this stupid storm about to hit us down here, although not directly supposedly. So I could have been picking up the car now yet I'm here doing last minute preparations for the storm at the house, getting all the outdoor furniture secured etc etc... so he said the car will be safely sleeping in the second level of the dealer's parking garage until either tomorrow, depending on the weather or Monday. Now the question is, how the hell am I going to be patient until I go get it!?!?? lol

It comes like that, it's part of the Special Edition options. As far as I know, they are the same brake calipers as all the GS350s but come painted in orange.

 

Congrats on getting one of the last 4GS's produced - and a Black line at that! I think i may have one of the earliest ones produced (April 2012). Your 2020 looks like a real head-turner - esp with those orange calipers

Now it got me wondering how many GS's in total will be sold in 2020...

Thanks, this is one of the reasons I wanted to get this one. I was contemplating buying out my 2018 at the end of the lease in a few months (I'm trading in early, still have about 6 months left I think) since the GS is being discontinued and I had a rare color combo but if anything, this 2020 would be better, being one of the last of the production, and a Special final edition at that, to close the GS line. If they really discontinue it and not bring it back in 2, 3 years like they do a lot of times, it could be a nice collector car down the years since it is supposed to be a numbered car out of the 210 they are producing and everything.

I think it's a shame they want to discontinue the car instead of improving it to beat the competition. I mean, they can do it. With the 2013 model, they beat BMW in pretty much everything compared to the 5 series and the car got nothing but praise but it's like Lexus thought "we did it, now we don't need to do anything else" and of course everybody else kept going and the GS stayed behind. I hope in a few years they bring it back with a complete new design worthy of competing against all the competition but in the meantime, I'll have this one for a good while.

I got a couple more pictures today and got to go see it in person. It is fantastic! They really did a good job with it. The interior looks amazing and the wheels, even though they are basically the same, just with the gloss black look 10 times better. Especially with the contrast of the orange calipers. They'll be detailing it and getting it ready for tomorrow but I think I'll be waiting 'till Tuesday. I can't wait to bring it home!

As I was talking with my sales rep, he told me to check out a Black GS in the parking lot from one of the employees there that had basically painted the wheels black and wrapped all the chrome in black as well so that I had an idea on how it would look all blacked out and it looks great like that I tell ya. Even my wife who's always like "leave it alone and don't do anything to it" was saying we have to do the black wrap on the chrome lol .... so probably will be the one thing I will do to it.



Just the triple beam headlights make a world of a difference! Love them!
