Looking to hand my ES 350 down to my daughter and purchase a GS 350. I found one that is priced a little high for a 2013 but has the Luxury package. I know what comes with the package, but are there any downsides (repairs etc.) ? I know there is a ton of knowledge here so I learned from past mistakes and wanted to ask first ![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Any helpful advice is appreciated, thank you.

What is the mileage on the GS? If it has been maintained well the last 7years, is accident/damage free and doesn't have any standout issues, there really aren't any downsides to owning a GS - especially one with the Lux pkg.
I have a non lux premium '13 GS with 60k miles and have had no issues to complain about - changed out the sunroof seal, had a squeaky serpentine belt, had an AWD specific whining noise fixed by Lexus under TSB/warranty. None of these things were show stoppers and lots of helpful threads on this forum about them.
Oil changes and tires/brakes will be your primary expenses....but you already own an ES350 so you're familiar with the reliability of the Lexus sedans. Typical things since its a used car like suspension components, tires, brakes, rotors, paint/body, electronics should all check-out. If it drives well - go for it!

I just bought a very well-maintained 2013 with the LUX package. After 2 months I couldn't be happier. My sunroof rattles, which I will soon fix, but other than that the vehicle is great.

I also bought a 2013 Lux package GS 2 months ago with 65,000 miles. One owner, dealer maintained. Could not be happier ![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Pull the Lexus records, look at CarFax to make sure it was maintained & accident free. Drive it. If it all looks & feels right, buy it and enjoy!

No real downsides to the luxury package in my opinion. My last car had it and it was awesome, I wish my new GS had it. Those adaptive headlights are awesome!
The only thing you really have to keep in mind is that it has some upgraded/more complex parts that will cost more to replace than non-lux IF they fail. The ones that come to mind for me are adaptive suspension and adaptive headlights. A single adaptive headlight runs about 1500 new. Not sure about the price on adaptive struts, but it’s got to be more than the non-adaptive.
I wouldn’t worry about it too much. The luxury package is awesome. If you like the car and it’s been well maintained, grab it.
