here is my oem cover
this was on my car stock. I think the newer GS cars don’t have it on, not that it’s a big deal. Just interesting that Lexus would remove it. Seems there is a market for the 4.5GS to have someone add in all the stuff they took out, not that it’s a big deal , other than the acoustic glass in the front doors.
My 19 has those. It also has the dual pane front door glass.

Nice! My passenger glass cracked, and I wa a pain in the behind to get the right OEM dual pane glass. My glass guy even ordered directly fro the dealer with the right part # and it took 2 weeks for them to get it right. I went to safely before finding a good glass guy and the ordered the wrong part TWICE even though I told them what I needed. I just gave up on them.
What trim GS do you have and does it have any non standard options? I figured Lexus just changed the glass to a single pane, as it was a pain in the butt to get the right glass.

Sometimes you have to be a pain to get things fixed right!
Mine is just a standard, run of the mill AWD F Sport. Just regular options like ML, triple beams, HUD, power trunk, cold weather, etc.
I have a grocery bag hanger in my '18, and added these recently... too much weight, my gas mileage is doomed... ... but I did remove the sound generator...
Can someone who still has the bag hanger take a pic of how it’s attached to the top of the trunk? Maybe I can grab one from the junk yard?
I can get a better photo during the day if you’d like. No visible bolts, it’s not immediately apparent how it’s attatched. Also, for everyone saying the cargo net is more useful, I have both, and they serve different purposes so neither is better or worse, just different. If you have a grocery bag for instance, that has eggs or something else delicate inside and you don’t want the bag to fall while in transit, the hanger is definitely useful.
Thanks, this is a good enough photo. With no visual bolts, I am ready discouraged. I totally agree, both methods serve a different purpose. These hooks saved me plenty of times from having to pick up tortilla chips from all over the trunk when transporting Moe’s. LOL!!

It attaches thru the trunk carpet to the frame, it just clips in there are no screws/bolts. That is why there is a weight limit. I know because I removed all my trunk carpet once to install a fuse tap for a 12v socket in the trunk to run a Cradlepoint mobile router.
