Default Fog lights working Independently from Headlight module

About 2 months ago, a seller in the marketplace was selling a module that allows the fog lights to work independently from the headlights. Seller sold it before I could contact him about buying it. I also can't seem to find the thread for it. I was wondering if you guys could link me to the part or point me in the right direction.

Why do you need a module for the fog lights to work? Don't you just wire them up to a switch via a relay?

There's a module to make the fogs turn on independently from the headlights. Like you can turn them on without the headlights being on. The module was 30 bucks, if i could only find the original thread lol.

i would think any wiring harness that connects straight to the battery would be able to do this.. that's how i have mine wired up, an aftermarket wire harness with a switch that's tapped into a fuse that's on only when ignition is on (so it doesn't stay on when the car is off). Not sure if that's what you mean.. unless you're talking about doing things OEM and still being able to separate the two functions.

I think he has factory fogs.
Why would you want to have your headlights off in foggy weather?

It never gets foggy in my area. Sometimes when there's a light drizzle it's still bright outside, but some cops are **** about having either headlights or fogs turned on in "rainy" weather. I would like to turn on the fogs without having to turn on the headlights and dim everything in the car. I know the new Nissan Altimas can turn on their fogs without their headlights being on. I don't want to have to turn on my headlights and the entire interior dim and my head unit go black lol.

Please don't, they're wired like that and likely illegal to use in normal weather for a reason. Fog light beams aren't shaped and will cause irritation to oncoming traffic.
