Trade in 2015 gs350 for 2017

First off sorry to hear about your 2015 F-Sport that is a hell of a story. This is my personal opinion but if I were to upgrade my current 2015 to any of the post 2016+ GS models, it better be fully loaded with triple beam lights, HUD,ML audio etc..In your case it seems you had no choice not sure what you mean by timing but I would have waited or seek out a better spec'd model. I think the refreshed models look much uglier and not as classic looking prior to refresh with the basic standard Bi-LED lamps. I don't know how to describe it but despite been newer it doesn't age well with these standard headlights. I truly believe the 2016+ models look their best, very modern and stand out from the crowd with the Triple Beam lights and will age much better. Again just my opinion I am sure many love them and don't blame them.

The Lexus Safety Connect service has three (3) components:
1) Safety Connect is the 3/4 watt built in phone triggered by the overhead
"SOS" button that uses the sharks fin antenna on the roof. Active for a trial period
that has changed over the years. 2010 -2017 was for 12 months - 1 year,
2018 & 2019 is for 120 months - 10 years, 2020 & 2021 are now 36 months - 3 years.
Find the car if stolen or accident, more powerful than our 1/3 watt cell phones
and on 2016 and newer includes Service Connect to notify car condition. Great
if the bill payer is not the driver..."gee Dad, was that flashing red dash light important"?
Was $149/year originally, is now $80/year
2) The Lexus App (replaced the 2015 to 2020 Lexus Remote App). Can be added to the
Safety Connect to provide phone based features, Remote Start (which also enables the fob),
car finder, guest driver monitor and more. Check in all out at www.lexusdrivers.com
Is an additional $80/year so 2016 & 2017's are $160/year, 2018 & 2019's are just $80...till 2028!
3) Destination Assist is the Live Operator for those with Navigation. Great for Uber Drivers?
Also an $80/year add on to the basic Safety Connect/Service Connect connection subscription.

It's crazy how prices have gone up in the last couple months. At the start of covid, I paid $35K for my '17 F-Sport AWD with 21K miles on it. It was a CPO without the HUD or ML system. Few weeks later the wife got a 17 NX F-Sport AWD that is fully loaded CPO with triple beams for $27K with 45K miles. I periodically do searches just to see what's out there and the offer prices are way higher now.

I had this exact thought yesterday; trade in my '14 for a '16+ but i will also hold off for a little while longer.
This way, i can just transfer all my mods over to a refreshed platform.
