Default F-Sport Conversion

Hello All,

Was wondering what body parts are involved in converting a 2013 GS450h to a F-Sport? I tried searching but kept getting IS conversions.

Thanks in advance...

Neil

Unless you have access to a wrecked Fsport, isn't it cheaper to just buy an Fsport? Are you wanting cosmetic or mechanical upgrades too? There are plenty of aftermarket body parts about, expensive and cheap. You wouldn't dream of fitting Fsport mechanics ie variable ratio steering, rear wheel steering etc without a free wreck.

If you’re just going for aesthetics, its just the front bumper, grills, get the JDM bezels with fog light inserts to keep your fog lights, f-sport rear spoiler, and wheels. Im not sure how you would fit the rear diffuser since there are no exhaust cut outs on the hybrid model. I don’t believe there is a gs450h f-sport trim.

Default F-Sport Aesthetics

Yes, considering converting my GS450h to a F-Sport aesthetically. For 2013, are the headlights and fenders different too or is it just the front bumper and grills?

headlights look the same aesthetically, unless you have the triple beams which came as an option for the 450h (which is an upgrade imo). Fenders should be the same, only thing missing is the f-sport badge. Bumper should be a direct swap.

The bumper is not expensive I think $400, new. The real money is in a quality paint job and they have to blend into the front fenders. You can expect to spend $1600-2200. All a direct swap.

@Neil64 here's a helpful thread and links for the conversion on your '13: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...l#post10520957

Another member also changed out the rear diffuser/valence on his hybrid to the standard one with chrome tips: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...aust-tips.html

It was rare, but the F-sport pkg was available on the hybrid from 2015 through 2018. Toyota/Lexus barely marketed the GS and even less so with the GS hybrid / GS hybrid F-Sport: https://www.slashgear.com/lexus-gs45...-you-31295574/

wow, thanks for sharing. I had no idea they even existed. Great find, I’ve never seen one in person.

The parts are relatively cheap. Lexuspartsnow had a sale on the f sport upper and lower grille last week, I managed to get them for super cheap. You might wanna check that out. The bumper I got through the Lexus dealership for a huge steal since my uncle is the head tech there
Overall, if you need help with part numbers. Peasodos is your man. Him and everyone else on this forum helped me get the correct parts. I'm currently waiting to find a reputable shop to paint my bumper.

Thanks all. I have PM'd peasodos as recommended for a parts list, pics and to find out if the air ducts or anything else require modification.

For those of you that added foglights to your F-Sport or F-Sport conversion, did you just bolt on the foglights directly to the F-Sport bumper or did you reuse your foglight mounts from old non F-Sport bumper? The body shop should who did my conversion said the old mounts won't fit the F-Sport bumper and bolted the lights directly to the bumper. I am wondering because they did crappy work that I am having redone and don't want to damage/melt the bumper.

Thanks...

Neil

@Neil64 Did you get a response to this on how the fogs mount?
