Default Carbon fiber steering wheel installed on the 2014 gs350 f sport

Just some general feedback on my new carbon fiber steering wheel on my 2014 Lexus GS350 F Sport.

After doing much research from many vendors, I came across a reputable seller. I checked out some guy on youtube who installed one on his GSF, but his complaint was about the sharp edges on the leather part. When I received my steering wheel I was in love and did not have the sharp edge issue.

Feels and looks amazing and very comfortable with the thick grip and grip molding to wrap your fingers on the back of it. I will be posting a video on youtube when I get a chance, but here are some pics of it.

I asked for the red tape as the interior is red and goes with the theme of my car with the gray stitching which goes nicely with the gray stitching of the interior. I kept the OEM airbag and silver trim to compliment the rest of the silver trim because too much carbon fiber would be overkill IMO.

BEST MOD I have done so far!

Elvin is pretty good, when I got mine it was perfect as well. He is also the only person I know that makes the heating element within the steering wheel so you don't lose it, and you get to keep your old steering wheel.

Doesnt it feel odd holding a cold surface steering wheel? Maybe im so used to having full leather steering wheels. Im not a fan of the plastic feel, similar to the sports luxury GS models woodgrain wheel...

Any chance you'd sell your factory wheel? I assume it's all leather and heated?

On the contrary, it feels way better to me and yes it does have a wood grain feel to it.

It is a matter of preference.

The bamboo steering wheel in my 450h does not have that cheap plastic feel to it because it's not encased in high gloss resin. Your touching the actual wood.

It's funny because that bamboo steering wheel looks way cheaper in comparison. I like the look of that carbon steering wheel. A bit sporty for a Lexus but looks great.

Depends on your interior color.

For example my interior is more classy and not sport oriented at all:

Bamboo and flaxen is gorgeous, wish they had offered if outside the 450h.

The F sport interior is amazing and has a combination of luxury + sport.

Your car is not meant to be "sporty" and in generally caters to the older crowd or ones who don't want to drive the car like it is meant to be driven and want more of a classical luxury look. The F sport is more for enthusiasts and people who really want to push the car to the limit.

Just some input.

yeah no doubt! Great guy to deal with and great customer service.

He even presents a video of the steering wheel in HD video before shipping it out to make sure you are 100% satisfied.

You saying the guy can do a carbon wheel with heating element? That would cream my twinkie a bit
