This gave me an idea. Next GS I get, I'm removing the dash and painting it and sealing it in pure black. I never liked the dark gray on the GS, especially because of all the dark trim I had.

FYI for those wondering how it looked before -- @phunguyen's previous topic on the warped dashboard (with pictures): https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...a-hot-day.html

I'm glad this was covered under the ZLZ Customer Support Program (more info for those that need it: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...45764-9999.pdf). Good outcome for you @phunguyen - I'm glad you now have the a proper sun shade to protect against this in the future.

It's great to have companies like Toyota/Lexus that stand behind their vehicles -- not all manufacturers would care if the vehicle was out of warranty.

Good Customer service in fixing it. I like to use a sun shade to cover my dash and block out the hot sun if I know I'm parking outside for long.
