Default Damaged Rocker Panels!

Pictures speak for themselves. I'm trying to get this replaced or fixed.
Been getting quotes from nearby body shops at $500 - $700.

Could I fix this on my own? The passenger side one looks especially bad.

I'm also looking for used side skirts from ebay and junkyards.
Anyone know if 13-15 side skirts fit my 2016?
Tough part is finding ones in atomic silver!

What happened to it? How did it end up like that?

2013-2020 Lexus GS 350, 450h, 200t, f-sport, base/luxury all the same exact rocker panels.

Use car-parts.com to search all the junkyards. Also search for other body parts like doors or fenders, you'll find it in atomic silver, then reach out to the yard and ask for the rocker panels. Most of the time they don't have the part you need listed, but they have the car in the yard.

Your better off finding a good set of used rocker panels. Getting it body worked and repainted will not match the factory paint 100%, unless you spend a lot of money on a high end paint shop. Atomic silver is a 3 stage paint and hard to butt match.

Also they might not have the color listed as atomic sliver , maybe gray or silver. You can check the actual color of the car based off of vin.

Spurs. You need to be very careful getting in and out when you're cowboyed-up.

Based on the upward marks and location, I want to say people scraping on it with their shoes; if that's true, that's really bad.

I would assume they would mount the same, no matter which year's panels you bought, but they were redesigned for the 2016 refresh, so just make sure you match both sides.

I don't know definitively but I think the rocker panels are different on the 2013-2015 and the refreshed 2016+. I can't see any differences myself but splash guards from my 2015 did not fit my 2018. The shape and fit was way off.

But before replacing, you can remove 90% of the scuff marks with a good all in one polish and lots of elbow grease... a DA polisher will work wonders. On the passenger side, you've got to get creative and smooth out the rough edges and try some touch up paint.

In that case would it not matter which year you get unless you have mud guards for 2016+? Lexus tweaking the exterior shape of the rocker panel doesn't necessarily mean the side that attaches to the car is not exactly the same.

The edge of the side skirt defiantly looks like a deep scrape, not sure how that happens from getting in/out of the car.

It's not that noticeable until you get near the vehicle. Body shop probably will sand it and bondo it and repair. It's hard to match paint for atomic silver.
