If they are same specifications, it would work the same.
That's what I want to know. They seem similar, but if they aren't in the same class of strut, I'd prefer to keep the stock ride. Not looking to improve or update, just replace with similar to OEM stuff without paying 5x the cost.

OEM is expensive when it comes to suspension - on my previous Lexus/Toyota cars, I only used KYB's because the OEM ones were also made by KYB and the ride was the same. Now, that's not to say these aftermarket KYB branded struts will be exactly to OEM spec for the 4GS, but they should be very close. For the cost savings, I would give it a go since KYB is a trusted brand.

I hear you.
I had a 2006 Sienna CPO way back in 2013 and went aftermarket probably KYB. I didn't notice that much difference. Saved $$$ but then again my van was 89K but around 98K it got totaled. ugh.
Just wondering why not other places like AutoZone or other places?
They are backordered everywhere. I was lucky to find one of each at Rockauto. They only had the front right for the last 3 weeks. I just got confirmation they are shipping today so I'll take what I can get!
I called tirerack too and they said they are backordered 3-4 months.
Please keep us update once you receive the shocks and compared to OEM after was install, I am interest to see if this is the same exactly parts installed on GS and LEXUS is charging double price on the same parts
