Back up camera on reverse
So today I noticed that when I shift into R and my camera turn on, the bottom quarter of my screen shows my license plates. Is this normal or did the position of the camera somehow change?
The picture taken was with my trunk open. Tested it both ways. Placed a cloth just below the cam. Seems to be the top of the license plate area showing just below the camera.

Mine catches part of the license plate as well so on one hand I would say that it's normal. That said - I swear at one point I didn't see as my of the plate but that was right around the time I got the plate from the DMV and swapped out the dealer one so I just assumed it was that and I didn't notice it right away.

Yeah that kinda bothers me..it wasn’t like that on my old ES. Guess we can’t really adjust it?

I can see part of my plate. My guess is if you can somehow get the bottom part of the plate to hug closer to the trunk, you’ll see less of it. Could probably mess around a little with bending it. I use a weathertech plate frame that adds a little bulk, so I think I’ll see some of the plate no matter what. Doesn’t bother me.

I mean I know seeing your own plate/bumper shows perception as to how far or close you are when backing up but geez does not have to take up a quarter of the screen. That is if this is normal which according to you all seems to be so far.

Yes it's normal.
