Default USB in the armrest console

Hi All,

I'm wondering on the 4GS350 USB amp reading, it that 2.1A on each?

I just want to confirm it.

I didn't find it in the owner's manual.

Thanks.

Outputs about 500mA... Not the most scientific way but have an app on my phone to see charging rate in mA when plugged in to the usb in the center console.

Measured this last week with a dongle like below. Fluctuated between 0.7 - 1.0 amps... but mostly around 0.8 - 0.9 amps.

It's the absolute slow, old and bare minimum 1.0 amp. I only use these for 2 thumb drives full of music and have a dedicated cigarette adapter (Anker 24W Dual USB Car Charger) instead to get the much quicker amp charge of 2.4 amp on dual mode or single 4.8 amp with single USB charge.

Thanks all, I wasn't able to charge my iphone much with the USB so I though it was kind of weird.

Looks the Anker one that @HontoKuro is better:

I was also looking at this AUKey (found that in another CL forum).

Any thoughts?

I've had very good luck with Anker products - although I've had better luck with their non-iQ chargers than the iQ ones. I have one of their desk chargers that has 4 or 5 ports that i use to charge a number of things from my phone to an Anker external battery to my UE MegaBoom3, etc... The iQ ports justs never seem to charge as fast. I've never really dug into it but it seemed to be the same on the charger for the car so I went back to using a different one.

I do really love Anker's cables - they've been pretty bullet proof (not the least expensive but probably the mid-grade line of cables).

I have a few Aukey Bluetooth receivers/transceivers that have been fine. I know plenty of folks who love Aukey.

One note - Anker's stuff usually goes on a pretty decent sell for Prime day but you'll need to catch it early - it often sells out. I caught an assume deal on my Anker external battery back in roughtly 2016 and it's still going strong - charges my iPhone at least three times from near zero and does so pretty quickly by my book.

No, they are at most 1A and they are pretty much useless if you are using your product while 'charging'. I can vouch for this product Anker A2228 : https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01K9MQ8WW. It is UL listed as well (most Anker products are not) and the listing can be verified on on UL's page.

Thanks all for chiming in.

Bummer on the small amp readings.

I was looking at this last night:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/AUKEY-USB-C...ba72%7Ciid%3A1

UL just means they tested in the lab. I only would plug into the cigarette lighter socket when I need it.

Anker and Aukey both make good products. Can't go wrong with either. Those will charge your phone right quick.

That's really expensive for a regular 2.4A charger. You can get QC or PD chargers for that.

Sorry Canada only.

Does anyone have personal experience with this
Anker USB Charger Anker USB Charger
? It says on the title that it works with the Samsung Note 9. However, further down on their ad it states that it's not compatible with the Note 9 for quick charging. Has anyone used this charger for their Note 9? If so, does it quick charge?

Thanks.

I would read some of the feedbacks. Of course, some reviews are fake btw.

I'm leaning towards Aukey. Some Anker reviews on some products say it's not iphone compatible which I have. Samsung is Andriod so it may work fine. Just being careful when I look for these.
