Default Torn and have a poll

I just got my first Lexus, a 2014 gs350 f sport with 33k miles, clean car fax, in white with flaxen interior. I love the car.

I have the opportunity to buy a 2020 f sport in white with flaxen under msrp and a well qualified interest rate.

im torn, should I keep the 2014 or get the 2020?

If $$$ is not a concern, I'd get the 2020, but that's me.

33K on a GS... still pretty new.
Which model do you prefer, pre or post facelift?
Are you picking up any options, or losing any options with the upgrade (other than the triples)?
How important is that grocery bag hanger in the trunk? (LOL)

Is your financial situation good enough that taking on an additional $30k debt isn't going to make a big difference? I'm not rich, but some people on the forum are.

How long do you expect to keep the car? If you only keep a car for two years, the between 2014 and 2021 model years is a lot. If you keep a car for twenty years, by 2040 it won't be a big difference. I kept my last car twenty years.

I would keep the less expensive car and save my money. I would drive it as long as I could, and the Lexus is supposed to last a long time.

What are you looking for in the 2020 that the 2014 didn't have? Is it the exterior styling or new safety features or some option in the 2020 you wanted?

That's the best way to look at it.

What's your priorities in life? Will that that new car affect your plans other personal timelines?

I’d keep the 14. 33k miles it’s barely broken in.

Are you stupid, you just bought a car, getting rid of it with 33k miles, it’s just broken in. Keep the 2014, there is not a significant difference in the 2020 to be worth the difference. Honestly I prefer the pre refresh 2013-2015 f-sport bumper over the alien looking 2016+.

Apple CarPlay/android auto can be added to get the latest tech infotainment wise. Other than extra safety systems a lot has not changed. You basically buying the same car with lipstick. Your better off putting some of that money into mods to make you car more unique.

After looking at the bumper the last month or so as we've had discussion I totally agree. The '13-'15 bumper has some of the GS F characteristics in that lower area. I wish they had kept it similar and just adjusted the grille.

From a financial perspective I'd stay with the 2014. There will be a chance for a 2020 coming off lease in about 3 year or so and there will be other good used ones for a while after that. And by that time Lexus will also have realized the error of their ways and come out with a new mid-sized RWD non-Camry derivative.

Doesnt sound like finance is an issue, otherwise why you would even consider getting the 2020? If so, I'd get the 2020. Its the Last. Production. Year.
Plenty of guys on here have traded up and I've yet to hear one regret about the 2020.

Good luck, keep us posted.

If u plan to keep the GS for a long time and in this case since it's the last GS ever built, then buy the latest and greatest. The upgraded tech is nice on the newer GS.

Just buy the battery cover for better aerodynamics.
