Since it’s a CPO it should have an unlimited mile warranty until 2022 sometime. The dealer can sell you an additional 5 years of unlimited warranty for around 2,000.
if it were me I would force them to pay for that extension. That is transferable and would alleviate you or a new owners concern.

cost is around 1700-1900 for 5 years/unlimited. I would push Lexus to cover that cost and maybe settle on splitting it. Up to you to negotiate. But I would like some peace of mind if it were my tranny getting swapped.

This is what happens when inexperienced person thinks they know better than Lexus and decides to change their own transmission fluid. If they get the level wrong it will cause damage to the transmission.

Absolutely true. My local Lexus Service manger told me he went to the Lexus transmission factory in Detroit for training. He asked them what was the largest contributor to Lexus transmissions failing. The answer was changing the fluid that does not have to be replaced by using the wrong fluid and not the exact amount.
