Default Fuse tap for Dashcam

Going to be installing a viofo a129 pro and want to use the parking mode. Anyone have any suggestions on which fuses I’d want to tap into? (In the drivers footwell area) Constant power and ACC I believe are what I need and then ground of course.

It's been a while but I recall tapping into the heater steering wheel fuse to get constant. I ended up not using "parking mode" on my camera because it ended up recording literally everything that went on in front of my car (I tend to back into my driveway).

Thank you i will give that a shot when it shows up, and it wont keep recording i believe it picks up motion or shock and records a little before and after the incident

Will be installing a dashcam as well this weekend. You can use a multimeter to see which fuse has power. I won't be using the parking mode so I'll be looking for a fuse that only has power at start.

I got it sorted out wiper blades for Ignition and power seats for constant power. Seems to work fine

Sweet thanks. I'll tap into wiper blades.

also the driver side for well works better than the passenger side one. There’s a bolt towards the back left that I used for ground and the excess wiring all fit nicely by the fuse box.

Doing the hard work for me. I'm tapped into a fuse on the passenger for my air suspension but only because that's where the battery is. It's very tough to get to that box so the driver side makes more sense for the dash cam. How was hiding the wires?

pretty easy the I zipped tied them together into a small fist shaped size and just tucked them up next to the fuse box. There’s a decent amount of room there. Just some advice have plenty of light lol I had one of those cheap led switches from the dollar store tucked up by the pedals and a little light bar led on the floor pointing up. But also I was working in the dark of night.

I think I tapped into the heated steering fuse when I installed my A119.

Good choice on the cam. Almost bought the A129 Plus Duo on black Friday but didn't feel installing another when I already have one there. It has different wires than the A119.

I want the rear cam too but maybe I'll do it if the 119 breaks.

Perhaps you could take some photos along the way for a DIY setup. Would be nice to see where we could tuck these wires away

Notice how I tucked my cables for two (2) StreetGuardian SG9663DR dual remote lens dashcams on the vent panes of the rear windows as "side cams".

I have everything wired up but could sneak a pic of the fuse box. I'll be running the cables today.
