Community FYI: My 17 GS Luxury is up for Sale
Hi all. This is not a Marketplace ad but just an FYI to CL members who may be looking to buy a pre-owned17 Luxury AWD GS. I have traded-in my GS and wanted to give a heads up in case anyone was in the market. I have no vested interest in this GS or its sale, but wanted to offer all information on its history that the dealer does not have. If this is not an appropriate post or is against CL rules, then Mods please delete. If this is OK, then someone let me know and I can post more info. Thanks.

I just wanted more power & tech and to stay in the mid-sized class, so I got a European AWD. Lexus disappointed me with no more mid-sized sport sedan. I don't need the size of the LS, with just me and the wife, and the new IS just didn't have enough for me. If they updated a 21 GS I would not have left.

Smart man, Lexus is a downward spiral, not keeping up with any tech with little to no innovation and with their 2016+ lipstick on pig refresh simply the GS is a dinosaur and it's no wonder Lexus killed the GS line. They simply couldn't keep up with the S. Koreans and EU offerings which are 10000x better and way more fun. I am probably planning on doing the same soon and looking at those much better alternatives. Congrats and enjoy your new ride.

Mercedes is old money, BMW is new money, Lexus is smart money!

I agree with the reliability issue and Lexus being tops. But based on my driving statistics over the past 3 years of ownership I'm well within the limits of a factory warranty, so I don't expect crazy expensive repairs coming my way. I really did want to stay with Lexus as my family has been Toyota for over 40 years and Lexus since my dad's 1992 LS, but I just couldn't make the current offerings work for me.
As for the 17 GS, it's caviar with noble brown interior, triple beams, ML, RC 350 F-sport 19" wheels, rear spoiler, excellent condition. I thought about doing a private sale, but I got a great deal on the trade.

What did you replace the GS with a 5-series?
