I started this as a gag for the holidays but now am genuinely curios; why is there so much disdain for underglows?
Some of the most exotic cars have them, would you say the same if on a Lambo?

So its ugly because its an act of immaturity in your opinion.
I would argue against the "nothing original" defense - its too ambiguous. We've all shared an idea, build or a mod that was done by someone first. Sharing is what draws many of us to this forum.
However, I did think I WAS being original in that my car and house lights are pulsating in sync to the Christmas music outside...at least in my neighborhood I am
Does no one have christmas lights on their houses? Holiday decorations are always pretty tacky, why is there so much criticism directed at someone who decorates their car along with their house?
For Holidays, fair game. Give the children some smiles. Cmon guys, didn’t you all dress your little boys in Superhero underwear? It brought a smile to their faces. Same thing here. It’s about the children and is very festive.

Haha - That was the original plan but seeing how much everyone likes them, I might just keep them on. LOL, kidding.
How to tell:
Examine a car with this feature.
Look for signs of squirrel: hat on backward, sagged pants, fart can exhaust, tires 3" outside the fenders, sunglasses on top of head at midnight, fake stickers, parked in high school lot.
Are you that person? If yes, then do it.
lol to me its kiddie like. When I was in middle school and the first Fast and Furious came out I wanted to have all those underbody glows with big spoilers etc. As I aged I saw really only high school kids have those types of mods where they were clearly more for the esthetics of looking like they're race cars but actually do nothing for their specific car. Nowadays to me that's definitely rice but usually just associated with high school kids who did things that they could afford to make it look "cool". But to each their own as long as you like it that's all that matters right?
