Forgot how stable the GS is at speed...
Since March and C19, we've been staying close to home, transitioned to telework and I haven't had a reason to use the highways. This morning I hit the turnpike and before I realized it, I was up to 85, wondering why everyone was driving so slow at 9:30am on a weekday... c'mon this wasn't a Sunday day-cruise! Looked down, saw the speed and was slightly shocked I was going that fast... the road was clear so I coaxed the speedo up a little more for a minute or two. One word... STABLE. Okay, one more word... PLANTED. It felt impressive! I cannot remember the last time I had a car with 19K miles on the tires and everything felt so smooth, balanced and totally unruffled at speed.
I think I appreciate my GS a little bit more after this morning. We need an Autobahn in Florida!

Autobahn = Sawgrass Expressway or at least used to be when I drove it more often a long time ago.
Same here though, I drive once a week now and usually take 441 to work but once in a while I will hop on Turnpike. Especially with the Michelin PS4S, the car is incredibly composed at speed.

Have to agree as well. There is a bridge here in Central Florida that on occasion if it is clear I punch it to hit 100 and it seems to just fly through the wind. Now you make me wonder what hitting 120 would feel like....... Not on roads here though, never no traffic around.

The GS is SO stable at speed. I've had mine up to the 143mph top speed many times and cruised for long stretches at ~120mph. It even goes around bends pretty well at 130mph. It's also pretty solid feeling towing a 6x12 trailer at 90mph. God I miss my GS already...

I guess the car scene in Orlando is pretty strong... the groups I followed were definitely enthusiasts, BMW Ms, Audis, even a couple of superbikes were in the mix. There was even a GTR and ISF, no Civic rice cakes though. And this was a few different times, so driving those speeds has got to be a usual thing in the area.
I am currently at home itching to get back on the turnpike again...

I visited family in Orlando last year a few times, and it seemed I could always find a small group of cars to latch onto, going triple digits, pretty exciting but also unnerving to be going that fast for a sustained period. The 417 and 408 are Orlando’s Autobahns. Even the 520 has its share of speeders.

I always feel that the GS is still sleeping at 70 MPH, wakes up at 80 MPH, starts walking at 100 MPH, and running at 120+ MPH.
The GS is really a beast at 100+ for being what it is, u know a 4-door, V6, etc.
Got next to a V8 Challenger on the highway the other night and was just cruising at 100 MPH alongside of him. I knew he wanted to race but I didn't feel like going to jail.

Start looking for a CPO My theory is that we'll start seeing some '18s and '19s coming off lease with crazy low mileage thanks to C19. You still have the '15 right?

Found this.....https://lexusperformancedrivingschool.com/#/home
That might be a fun birthday present to myself post Covid Has anyone here by chance done it? Hardest choice would be which track to pick....
EDIT: Ok...second thought...hardest choice is which car to pick
EDIT: Darn...looks like in the past the GS was actually one of the cars, that would have been awesome.
