The car has electric steering, it's possible that if the steering hasn't been calibrated properly, that wandering may occur at speed.
The calibration could have been undone by some type of steering related repair, or maybe an alignment was done and the steering not calibrated after.
A simple calibration called "zero point calibration" performed using the Toyota/Lexus Techstream scan tool will address any calibration issues.

Still looking for the EPS location in 2013 GS if I want to send out to G7 Computer for a possible rebuild. They charge $275 and do not charge if they find nothing wrong. I have described the intermittent problem at speed and they claim they can check for that.
I've been dealing with this issue for years and have gotten nowhere with the dealer. I just don't take the car on road trips.

The alignment shop may not have the Techstream. I would find a Toyota/Lexus mechanic in your area and take the car to have steering re-calibrated. You could also look for someone locally that has a Techstream on laptop and do it yourself.

Over the years Lexus has convinced me twice that the problem is caused by alignment, and they aligned the car at 44K and again at 59K with no effect on the notchy steering. So I doubt it is a calibration issue, but I will look into having it checked.
Thanks, as this is something I did not think of.

So it probably was done on both occasions and the notchy steering persists. My current thought is that on a long high speed drive the EPS heats up or something else happens to it and the notchy steering occurs. It's the comment complaint that after coming out of a slight curve on the interstate the wheel sticks and doesn't return to center without a tug. I find that once this is occurring that if I stop for a meal or fuel [say 20 minutes] and get back on the road it takes some time before the NS returns.

I'm thankful to not have experienced this in any of my GSs. I hope I never do and I hope Lexus addresses the issue for you guys.

I wouldn’t bet on it. Techies don’t bother doing the steering calibration unless the customer insists on it. They will often convince client that calibration is not needed after alignment, even though the service manual clearly states it is a part of alignment.
