Talking Traction Control or My Fuel Pump?

Okay, so I was trashing around on an on-ramp in S+ and M mode and I gunned it in 1st gear and the TC or Stability light came on and I'm guessing the rear tires struggled a bit. It didn't auto-shift like it normally would but instead I saw the needle actually hit and passed redline a bit and felt the car cut power, it felt like it was going to stall but only for 1 sec. It then shifted to 2nd gear and I continued flying.

It's my TC cutting power right? I haven't done the recall yet and don't plan to anytime soon.

From what you described, my guess is you hit the rev limiter. Modern engines won't let themselves be damaged with over-revving.

Yes. Wouldn’t worry about it. This happened to me today. I revved the car hard and saw the needle go to 7000 rpm when the fuel cut occurred. Before, it always upshifted at around the 6800 rpm redline. This time I think the rev was faster than the system could respond and upshift.

Yes agreed, your car is fine. Mine did that every so often too. Mine was never part of the fuel pump recall and never had any issues... and it's been through a lot

I wouldn't be surprised. The data is probably being sent back to Lexus and noted.

Oh speaking of data, on the new ES, they are tracking ur driving style and shows u a bunch of stuff on the app too. It shows how hard u take corners and take offs. Our GS doesn't have that on the Enform app but the new ES does.

It's pretty funny. My Tacoma has that too. You get a "driver's score" lol. I never score very well, and that's just in my Tacoma! If that feature were on my GS, I'd probably get a negative number...

Oh yeah! It would on! It would be a competition to see who could get the most negative number.

Sounds like you're missing it - that was written almost like it's still in the driveway.....

Hell I miss mine and it's just parked 15 feet away in my garage. I just have nowhere to go...

See that's the feeling that we get with the GS, we miss it if we don't drive it for a while and when u start driving, it's pure happiness.
