Does 15 GS F-Sports have safety features like blind spot monitoring
Does 15 GS F-Sports have safety features like blind spot monitoring and parking assist?
I am debating b/w 15 GS F-Sports with about 80K miles for $25K and 18 GS F-Sports with 35K miles for about $35K.
Is the extra $10K worth for the newer models?

Blind Spot Monitoring and Intuitive Park Assist were optional on 2015 models, so not all of them have it.
Blind Spot Monitoring was made standard starting in 2016 (2016 is when they introduced the updated GS). Starting in 2017, Lexus Safety System was made standard which includes things like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, Lane Keep Assist with Steering Assist, etc. Older versions of these systems were available on older GS models but were extremely rare. The chances of a '15 having lane keep or adaptive cruise are slim to none.
In my opinion, it's definitely worth the extra $$ for the newer models, they're far more refined than the earlier ones. 35k miles sounds a lot better to me than 80k miles too.

All '13-'20 GS model have both blind spot monitoring and parking sensors as options. You should check the options list to confirm the specific car you're looking to buy has these features. Most newer GS's will have it.
In terms of the '15 vs the '18...most people feel the newer '16-'20 models are more of a Lux ride and not as sport-tuned as the '13-'15 models. In terms of whether $10K is worth it, you will get a newer car with lower mileage, still under warranty, updated full screen navigation, newer interior/exterior trims, styling, etc.
I'd say that's worth it but it depends on what you prioritize most.

Get the 2015 you'll be much happier plus $10k+ more in your pocket. 80k miles is nothing and you're just breaking it in. 2016-2019 GS's have no soul, not as fun and handling and driving dynamics don't feel anything like the 2013-15 models.

Here are all the brochures in PDF for the 4th Gen GS - direct from Lexus. The GS Brochures will generally have a little info on the GS F from '16-'20. NOTE: Sometimes they'll take a little time to load.
2013 Lexus GS Brochure
2014 Lexus GS Brochure
2015 Lexus GS Brochure
2016 Lexus GS Brochure
2017 Lexus GS Brochure
2018 Lexus GS Brochure
2019 Lexus GS Brochure
2020 Lexus GS Brochure
And the GS F:
2016 Lexus GS F Brochure
2017 Lexus GS F Brochure
2018 Lexus GS F Brochure
2019 Lexus GS F Brochure
Looks like there wasn't a separate brochure for 2020 from what I could find....
PS - as we've seen, these are just guides. There are examples of factory cars that don't seem to perfectly line up - for example, the 2016 brochure doesn't show triple beams as an option, they were only on the GS F but there have been documented 2016 VINs that show triple beams. I'm sure there are other little things like that we could find.

I think JDR could best answer this since he's owned both.

I have owned a 13, 15, and 17. Personal opinion is go newer. More features and a similar driving experience. I love my 17 FSport and it drives like a champ.
FYI... I have 100k on my 17. Either way you go, mileage not an issue.
