Audio System in a 2013 GS?
#2
I have the non ML system and I think it's very good. I think the Levinson shines on clarity and sound reproduction. The standard systems' bass is punchy and accurate. It's definitely up to each individuals ears to decide which suits them best.

I think it will check those boxes for you. I’m picky about audio... have a nice hifi 2 channel system in the house. Sure, I bet the ML is better, but the base system sounds pretty good to me. I would say it’s better than the base system in most other cars I’ve been in, but I don’t have a ton of luxury cars to compare it to.

Our '13 F Sport has the ML; it is very good. I am also a hi fidelity enthusiast, having spent waaaay to much $$ over the years.
I'm sure the standard components are very good as well. Lexus don't make no crap.
Kinda off topic: The system in our Tesla Model 3 is amazing. I really enjoy it.

My 2014 GS350 with lux pkg has the base system. And I know that I probably don't have audiophile ears, but I compared the ML and non-ML systems listening to same songs with same and different tone settings and preferred the non-ML. I took my sales reps advise at the time which was to get the non-ML. I don't think he was saying that the non-ML was superior to the ML, but it wasn't worth the difference in price. If we had audiophile ears, I would probably think differently.
I have the ML in my 2008 GX470, and it sounds great, but my non-ML system in the GS edges it out.
I just got out of new ES350 loaner while my GS350 was at the dealer getting new structs and shocks. It had the base system and again I felt the GS350 base system was so superior. In fact I've been in ESs, RXs and GXs loaners over the years, and the GS audio system as always sounded way superior. I'm glad that Lexus decided to up the ante for the base audio in the GS. I sometimes find myself on Sunday mornings sitting in the GS with a cup of coffee just to listen to the music in that car. I have high end home audio systems and headphones which I enjoy too. But I just am amazed at the audio in the GS -- to my ears, it's just that good.

They both have the GreenEdge Speakers.
ML has Class D Amp and Up-sampling of digital music.

So the NON M/L and M/L both use the same exact speakers correct?
I am reading the Diagram correct thinking the the Front top Dash speakers (#1 & 2) are Coax speakers and are 8.1 ohm each?
