Default Squeaky Driver Side Seat

My seat has started to squeak every time I move around in it. Any thoughts on what I can do to fix that? Thanks.

The squeak is coming from the back support. Any suggestions?

I was going to provide some input on this, but @peasodos has way more experience with the GS seats. He may be able to provide you some guidance on this.

You can temporary fix it by using the electric adjustments and move the seat through its full range of motion a couple of times. Recline decline lumber etc etc.

If you remove the back panel you get access to everything related to the backrest. There are two straps you unhook under the seat. Then lift up the lower back flap and it reveals 2 screws. Once the screws are removed, just pull it off, only held on by clips at this point.

This is what the back of my lux seats look like:

If you pinpoint the squeak with the back panel removed you might be able to fix it.

Jeez I had no idea the complexity of the interior of these sets, especially luxury seats.

.
Did you have to remove the seat to get access to the hooks? There is hardly any space underneath the seat to see anything.

It's strange, but ever since the post, the seat hasn't squeaked. Before then, it squeaked every time that I was in the seat. I'm assuming that it'll squeak again. I'll keep everyone up-to-date.

Could be the plastic expanding and shrinking from the cold weather and heat? Maybe just a fluke? Keep us posted.
