i did look into that and whether it could be tracked, which it can supposedly but when I called Lexus, they said there’s a yearly subscription you have to pay for in order to track your car if it’s stolen, and I hadn’t set that up so they said there wasn’t anything they could do :/

Doesn’t matter. No one is going to buy it. It will be stripped for parts or shipped overseas and sold.

I'm betting if the police called whomever is running that sos system they would disclose it's location.

Move on from Lexus. Go across the Ocean to S.Korea and have a look at a more innovative, fresh, fun, modern and exciting company in the likes of Genesis/Kia/Hyundai. Lexus thinks slapping on Apple Airplay and Google Auto is innovation.

Own a nice Kia now. Driven a few of the newer Genesis. They are nice, but I still can tell a difference in the Lexus holding the edge. I still very much like my Wifey's BMW like Optima SXL Turbo alot. Kia sent a letter to ask to put in a limp mode protective ECU Flash, and offered a Lifetime Warranty on the Engine.

The down side on Genesis/Kia/Hyundai is resale value is very, very low. Genesis/Kia/Hyundai also still have take to the shop fit, trim, and other problems that should not be. Many Owners are unhappy about that take to shop over again problem. Also Hyundai left millions of customers holding the bag denying help and/or even Warranty on the Theta pre mature Engine blow up problem. Just my opinion.

Sorry to hear that, you may regret in few years. Personally, I am not look down on Genesis/Hyundai but its just not in the same league as Lexus/Toyota in term of fit and finish, overall reliability and quality especially Lexus models

Other cars look good on paper but Lexus feels good when driving it.

If I could afford a used GSF, that would be my next car when my F-sport gets stolen.....

Not sure why Toyota/Lexus won't let me lock the door with the key fob while the car is running and I am going into a store.
Let me remote start then get in and the car while the engine is still running. Make it so the car shuts down when the brake is applied if there is no key fob in the immediate area.

My 2008 BMW 535i did all those things except last longer than 150k miles. Hehehe
...and roll the windows up/down with the key fob.

Yeah, come to think of it, it really doesn’t make sense why you can’t lock the car while it’s running. I would definitely have done that if it would let me. my brother sent me a link to a used GSF for 35k but it had 100k on it, which I wouldn’t be too worried about but it’s alot for a car with that many miles imo, and I live in an apartment so I don’t have much storage space for storing snow tires/summer tires year round. I had a GS460 before this and absolutely loved the power and smoothness of the V8. But always had to have two sets of tires because RWD up here without them is basically undoable

because some people will lock their cars and forget it’s running. Next thing they appear in the news died of carbon monoxide poisoning in their homes.

It will and can happen with the GS now. Where there is a will, there's a way.
I've left my wife's CT200H running for a whole day outside. Hybrid can still be running with the engine not running. Hehehe

but the question is why not just turn off the car and lock it before going anywhere?

I make it a habit now to lock my car every time I'm outside of the car, even when filling up the gas cause u never know who sneaks in!
