Also, thanks OP for the review and PNs. This forum is pretty awesome with all the help provided and reviews on parts and good places to buy them. Great first hand experiences from the community.

Just got my rears installed today at the dealership. Very impressed! It drives like new, I was hoping to be able to notice the difference but it's night and day, I can almost feel the car drop when I change from Splus to eco, amazing. Funny thing was, the shocks(I supplied) were ~$180, labour $360! Beats $700 for a single official Lexus shock.

130000km so about 80000 miles I guess? They've been noticeably bad for the last year so should have been changed earlier, just didn't know it was the shocks themselves.
I replaced the rear pair. The fronts are still original, although I have a suspicion that the previous owner may have changed them sub 40000 miles. If the fronts come up cheap I'll buy them too.

If anyone is interested, Rockauto has only the KYB rears AVS compatible in stock right now and shipped they would be about $190.00 and there is a KYB rebate you can get for $25 so it would be $165.00 for both.
For those that have replaced the fronts, do the shocks come with any boots or covers as the ones on my front are tearing off and loose, or are those Lexus parts?

Sorry for the necropost, but when reinstalling the shock with AVS, how do you clock/time the position of the strut to the position of the AVS actuator?

Do people often change the springs too at the same time as the shock? Rock Auto seems to have all four AWD with AVS for a good price. Car has about 170,000 KM on it and does squeek on all corners.

I only did the rears, but yes KYB 724000 are the parts I used and they were identical to OEM. They came with the little rubber bump stops too.

late post but for future people, for me i screwed up the mounting holes and the avs wasnt in the right place ( I marked where it goes). Before you release the spring test fit the strut and avs actuator if its right before releasing the spring compressor you can turn the rubber top to adjust the bolt holes and the avs actuator. First time doing it and i have to compress the spring and etc all over again and if one bit of the mounting bolt is off it wont go into the mounting holes. I heard that if you equip with avs only 1 way to go in, so if u doing it urself double check before releasing that spring.

I had all 4 shocks/struts done on my 2013 Fsport. Biggest difference is the rear tightened up alot and no longer bounces with road undulations even under normal mode.
In sport+, the fronts seem less hard as stock but does stiffen up compared to normal mode, it's hard enough so when hitting bumps it doesn't feel jarring.
